A must do in Colombo!

My husband and I did the Countryside Cycling Tour in Colombo with Ashan. Despite heavy rain, we had the best time and Ashan is hands down the best tour guide we’ve ever had. Ashan was so thoughtful about every aspect; because it was raining, he brought us sandals so we didn’t get our shoes wet, when the rain got heavy he pulled us into a stop and we enjoyed cups of tea while he taught us so much about Sri Lanka, and as I can be a bit of a nervous rider, he always had an eye to make sure I was okay and modified the route to make sure we had a great time whilst still being comfortable. After weeks of mainly doing the tourist hot spots and activities based around eating/drinking, it was so lovely to get out in the open air and have a ride, meeting locals and seeing Sri Lanka from a bike rather than a bus! When Ashan spotted some locals fishing, he pulled over to talk to them and show us the fish, and when he spotted a crocodile in the water he took us back to wait to try to spot it again. This ride was one of our favourite things we’ve done in Sri Lanka, thank you so much Ashan! We’ll definitely be reaching out to do something else fun next time we’re in Sri Lanka!
