Wonderful out of Hunawihr and Riquewihr followed by a winemaking tour and tasting at Vincent Spannagel winery. Anna was a fantastic guide with lots of local knowledge ot the villages and very informative on wine making in Alsace. I appreciated her tasting notes and pairing suggestions. She’s a wonderful guide and I thoroughly enjoyed the tour!!

Our guide, Anna, was warm and friendly, and kept the group on a good pace, not too fast or slow. We enjoyed learning some history of the Alsace region, along with information about the grape growing and winemaking traditions here. The wine tasting portion provided the opportunity to visit a winery managed for 11
generations by the same family. We tasted through the traditional Alsacienne varietals and got a good sense of each in relation to aromas, flavors and the influence of soils and terroir. A really nice afternoon!

An excellent tour which is not just highly informative about the whole culture of wine making in the area but also about the region, its history and the beautiful villages we visited. Anna was a tremendous tour guide, great English and a real passion for telling the story of the area. The village visits were great and the wine tasting was superb. It was led by one of the family who've been producing wine for generations; the atmosphere of the house and cellars really added to the experience and we tasted a wide range of delicious wine. Highly recommended-this was one of the best times we had on holiday!

Amazing excursion. Anna our guide was fantastic! Very knowledgeable and helpful. We had a great time visiting Riquewihr and then the vineyard to taste local wines.

We had an wonderful afternoon with our tour guide Anna. Pick up was easy. There is only a maximum of eight people which makes it very comfortable. The visits to the villages were interesting. We had time to ourselves in Riquewihr before going on to the winery. The winery was interesting and the wine tasting superb. Fabulous small group tour. Anna, the guide, gave great information about the local history of the region and the wine country. The local vineyard and winery we visited had a lovely tasting of six wines. It was such a pleasure to sample wine from an 11th generation, family owned vineyard and winery. I would not hesitate to book this tour again.

Anna was wonderful! She was warm and friendly and extremely knowledgeable. She easily answered all questions. One suggestion…. it would have helped the presentation at the winery we went to if there had been some crackers and even better, cheese, to accompany the tasting. I have never been to a wine tasting before that did not offer these things.

Thanks for your suggestion, regarding the wine tasting. There are indeed two ways of making wine tastings: pairing with food, or just taste wine to see the differences. We choose to make taste the wines alone, without eating, to make sure you taste the differences in the range and the terroir effect. The alsatian wines are so fruity and expressiv by their own.

Excellent excursion! Was great to visit some of the smaller towns in the Alsace region and hear their history. The wine tasting was a great highlight. Anna (guide) and Clara (wine maker) were both incredibly knowledgable and fun. A definite must-do for any trip to Colmar.
