We had a wonderful tour from Myriam to two villages outside of Colmar. She is knowledgeable and so friendly, answering all our questions and giving us so much interesting information and history about Alsace, wines, the vineyards, and the villages. The wine tasting was great, she took us to two wineries who gave us many tastings. We got to stop for pictures with grape vines along the way.

Excellent experience yesterday! Our guide was a sommelier earlier in his career, and shared a lot of insights about the wines of Alsace, the history and people with us. We visited two wineries, one established hundreds of years ago, the other 12 years ago. They each served multiple samples of their products along with answering our questions. A tour of the cellar was also included. In addition, we also stopped at a lookout point for an appreciation of the Alsace region. A brief stop at the memorial to the WWII battle of Colmar provided a different historical context. Highly recommend!

Our guide made this experience 100% worth it. The small group setting was perfect for real conversations and insight from a local, which was so much better than a scripted tour. The wine tastings were informative and delicious (we bought several bottles per stop), but the highlight was our personal interactions with the wine makers and our guide. We were able to learn about the history and culture of Alsace and Alsatians, in addition to the local wine industry and production process - all while sampling an array of wines tailored to our taste preferences. We also had time to visit one of the medieval old town villages between tastings with our guide pointing out historical sights and local history. At the conclusion of the tour, he provided personalized restaurant recommendations for the days following our tour and even made a reservation for us for that evening. 100% recommend this tour!

Miriam was a wonderful guide. Very knowledgeable of the wines, winemakers and area. She has a lovely large Mercedes van that was very comfortable, and she drove us through the country side and let us visit an adorable village that is 100s of years old.

Excellent tour. We were taken to a small private vineyard and a second larger vineyard and given tastings of several different varieties of wine. Our favorite was the first small private vineyard we visited where we learned quite a bit about the different wines. Would highly recommend.

Jerome picked the perfect two vineyards for our 4 hour trip. He was so knowledgeable about the region, then wines and the winemakers. Each vineyard was different but a perfect combination of offering us the different wines in the regions. 10/10

Amazing tour! Lots of cool facts I wouldn’t have learned on my own and the chance to taste at wineries I may never have found on my own! This was also a great learning opportunity about the history of Alsace and their winemaking.

Our driver was excellent and he also provided insights into the local area and its history. The best part was the detailed explanation of the wine production process and how everything from the terroir, the grape production, harvesting, fermentation and aging affect the quality of the wine by our host at the first winery. The quality of wines at both the wineries we visited were very good. The only feedback for improvement is a better explanation of the wine selection for the tasting by the hostess at the second winery- our driver had to act as the hostess when she got too busy with other customers in the tasting room and wine selection seemed to somewhat random.

Myriam with Ophorus Tours was our guide. She did an incredible job explaining all aspects of Alsatian wine and delivered everything promised in the tour. The second winery was located in a cellar from the 1600s - an incredible experience to taste wine there! My only qualm was myself and partner desired a little time to tour the vineyards or the small villages in which each tasting was located. However, it’s not guaranteed in the booking details, so moreso feedback for the tour company rather than anything on Myriam's guide performance.

The guide of Orpheus, the lady called M… is excellent. She has a wide knowledge of wine n explained to us in detail when she was driving. She knows Colmar quite a lot too.

Our hostess, Amelie, was wonderful. Very knowledgeable and a good conversationalist. (Her English is very good.) She took us to a couple very good wineries to experience the range of wonderful Alsatian wines that are not well known in the US. Despite the high shipping cost, we bought wine to ship back to the US because you can’t find these wines in the US and, even wi5 the shipping cost, the prices were reasonable. Definitely do a guided tasting. You can do other tastings on your own later.

Professional, knowledgeable, and friendly guide. We tried lots of different wines and learned the different types of grapes and the process of winemaking. It was possible to ask questions. We also got to see a beautiful village.

Worse than 1 star, they mislead you with wrong starting times. They put 2 starting times up and right after you book you see one time / location right away, so we thought that was our starting time. The next day we got an call that we missed the tour! There was another starting time somewhere else described, we contacted the tour company for an refund and they send us to Viator and Viator send us straight back to the booking company, this has been a month ago and we still haven’t got our money back! The worst costumer service I’ve ever received, the wine tour company just hang the phone up on me and Viator eventually told us the tour company wouldn’t let them issue a refund.
Don’t give your money to a company who treats their costumers this way about a mistake that they themselves caused.
For us €294 is down the drain..

Our guide Jerome did a fantastic job telling us about the history of the region and showing us around the most beautiful little village. The first wine stop was excellent. The second felt a bit stingy and the wine was not as good either. But the total was still excellent and I would very much recommend this tour.
