Itinerary
Start with 9am pickup at your hotel in Cebu City, where you’ll meet a private guide for a morning of exploration. The first stop of the day is the Cebu Taoist Temple, 4 miles (6 km.) outside of the city center. Cebu City’s Chinese community built the temple in 1972, and its colorful gate echoes the Great Wall of China, with sinuous dragons and tiered roofs.
Continue past the Carbon Market, where vendors bring fresh produce from around the island, and visit the Basilica del Santo Niño, a catholic basilica founded in 1565. Cross the street to see Magellan’s Cross, left by Portuguese and Spanish explorers on the orders of famed navigator Ferdinand Magellan.
Learn about Cebu’s military history at Fort San Pedro, a Spanish fortification that now contains a tranquil garden, then make the final stop of the day at the Casa Gorordo Museum. Tour the historic home, which was built with Mactan coral and hardwoods, to see what life was like for the Philippines elite families in the mid 19th century. This tour concludes with drop-off at your Cebu City hotel.

The guide was very good..The way he told the history of the phillipines was really interesting. Also good lunch.

It has been a real disappointment and even an upsetting experience I had with my sons. Edwin, the “guide”, left us in front of each site and asked us to visit on our own. The rest of the time he slept in the car or remained silent, then rushed us to a very bad “buffet” at 11:00am. For 195US$!!!

Even this was a rainy day the tour guide and the driver give us an unforgettable half day experince on the places all worth to visit. We were impressed about the local guide's English skills and his knowledge about Cebu-history. Only the lunch-buffet was under expectations. Anyway we didn't make this tour for the lunch and 5 stars for the perfect city-tour, which should be done the first day after arrival.
