We'll pick you up from Mactan Island, Mandaue City, Cebu City, and Talisay heading south of Cebu. If your location is not on the route, additional charges may apply and pick-up time may be earlier. If your accommodation/pick-up area is too far, especially when you're in the northern part of Cebu or another island of the province, it would be a wise decision to rest and check into an alternate hotel en route before beginning the tour. A few hours of rest will ensure that your journey remains relaxed and stress-free!

Disorganized Tour

This particular Vendor was terrible. Pickup from hotel was on time, when we got to the whale/shark area we waited several hrs because our guide made some sort of mistake on our time for the swimming with the whales. The guide was filling in for his wife so was not familiar with the procedure. The waterfall experience was good. There was a huge misunderstanding on my drop off at the end of the tour. We had signed up for pickup and drop off at our hotel. So when we got back into town they tried to drop me off in the city center which was quite far from our hotel. We had huge argument over this and finally they just got me a cab to take me to the hotel. The tour was completely disorganized. I would rather have a refund for the experience I had to go through

Regarding the drop-off location, while our standard policy clearly states in the itinerary that SM City Cebu is our sole drop-off point due to evening traffic conditions and next-day scheduling, our driver went above and beyond by offering to drop you off at a location closer to your hotel along the route. We regret that this generous accommodation led to an uncomfortable situation when you declined to exit the vehicle, causing delays for other guests in the group. We kindly remind all our guests that group tours require mutual consideration and understanding - if you expect high standards of service and courtesy from us, we similarly hope for reasonable and cooperative behavior from our guests to ensure a pleasant experience for everyone in the group. Regarding the whale shark encounter timing and guide situation, we were not aware of any substitute guide arrangement and are currently investigating this matter internally. However, we must point out that the waiting time you experienced is a standard part of the whale shark encounter - as clearly detailed in our itinerary, all guests should expect a minimum one-hour waiting period. This information was provided in the detailed itinerary sent to you, and we encourage all our guests to thoroughly review these materials to set appropriate expectations for their tour experience. We would like to note that for guests who prefer more flexible timing and guaranteed hotel pickup/drop-off services, we do offer private tour options. The nature of group tours involves coordinating multiple schedules and locations, which can sometimes lead to longer waiting times and predetermined drop-off points. We're glad you enjoyed the waterfall experience, but we understand this doesn't fully compensate for the other challenges you faced. We take your feedback seriously and will review our communication processes and guide preparation to prevent similar situations in the future. Review We waited 50 minutes to get picked up. We should have a more of precise time when this will occur (previous tours give exact time even with multiple pick up times). Van is extremely cramped and barely any space for legs unless you are very very short (not the case with me and my husband). Felt like the guide wasn’t very knowledgeable or at least didn’t provide any information about the island shark or island we visited before lunchtime. We were not given allocated time for lunch so hard to estimate how long you have to do things and had to wait for others alot of the time. We were only given one restaurant option in the morning and lunch (same restaurant) and not a lot of food options unfortunately which was extremely annoying. Restaurant staff mistreated dogs at the restaurant so that was unacceptable behaviour we witnessed. We were told tumalong falls were closed due to environmental reasons and that we would go monkey watching but this did not happen and ticket included the entry fees for Tumalong Falls.

In your case, the delay was exacerbated by other travelers who were late in arriving at the lobby, creating a ripple effect that impacted subsequent pickups, including yours. Regarding your request for a full refund through Viator, we were surprised and disappointed to learn that you claimed you were not picked up at all! Had we not been vigilant in monitoring our communications, the full refund would have been processed, which would have been incredibly unjust to our hardworking team. While we acknowledge that there were some logistical challenges during the tour, our guide and driver reported that you appeared to enjoy the overall experience, even expressing your gratitude through a tip.
