Itinerary

Meet your guide outside your hotel for the minivan shuttle up to the top of Table Mountain. There, get fitted with bike helmets and mountain bikes while you enjoy the unparalleled views over Cape Town.

When the group is ready, begin biking down the mountain on the ‘Double Descent’ route following your guide. It’s all off-road dirt trails, some of which are fairly steep, but it isn’t just for expert mountain bikers. This is a great tour for visitors who want to try mountain biking in a scenic spot, with expert guidance and advice from a local guide.

At the end of the ride, you’ll climb into the shuttle again for the drive back to your hotel.

This trip had more urban cycling than expected. However we were expertly guided by an enthusiastic guide with a wealth of knowledge. We did tour of Cape Town, up to the road at bottom of cable car over to Cliftonville and back along the promenade. Really enjoyable and really excellent bikes

It was an incredible experience. Quite scary at times but worth it. This tour is for the adrenaline junky type of person. If you are afraid of going down hill fast on a bike, I would think twice, but for me it was a great experience. The guides are fantastic and the experience is great!

Great bike trip. I would say it is tough for beginners. The first part is quite steep but I was able to wait at the start point so didn't have to do this bit. Then there is a pedal up for a bit which is hard work. Down was good - quite rocky and bumpy but amazing views. I hadn't been on a bike for a few years so am a definite beginner and manged this but had to walk the bike some of the way. The guides were excellent and the views stunning. Glad I did it.
