It couldn’t have been better. Paul was great!! He was knowledgeable and knew where to find the wildlife. Very attentive and great to listen to. We saw whales, seals , sunfish, jellyfish….He gave good advice on local eateries so great! Would totally do it again!

We took this trip on our last day before we went to the airport. It was absolutely amazing and our captain Paul was the best! Very knowledgeable about the ocean life and the birds. We saw a rare albatross and it was extraordinary! Even Paul was excited. That together with the seals, penguins, dolphins, and whales it became the best experience we could ask for.

Wind & sun screen needed, but with that it’s all such fun experience. Weather conditions change rapidly. Sea can be rough too, not for kids & elderly.

Thank you for sharing your feedback. We're glad you enjoyed the experience. Changes in wind direction can affect the ocean conditions while out at sea and it also gets very cold. We always recommend to dress very warm, and bring your sunscreen:)
This is my all time favorite experience in Cape Town. I live in CPT and this is a must do whenever I have visitors. Paul is amazing. I’m disabled and super wobbly. I feel very safe and secure on this ocean safari. Penguins swimming! Whales. Sea birds. Silly seals.

Wrap up warm as skipper Paul says, prepare for a dry, blowy and at times bouncy ride to see seals, dolphins, penguins and a sunfish. Sadly the whales were hiding from us. This was a lot of fun.

We had a wonderful time on the Ocean Wildlife Encounter. Our guide truly loves his work, and spread his enthusiasm to us! He made sure that we had a great experience, and saw as much life on the water, as possible. This was a wonderful excursion. Be prepared to get a bit wet (it's all part of the fun!)

The guide was very knowledgeable and had such a charming personality. We were able to see dolphins, seals, and birds. I wish we could've seen more but it wasn't in the cards :) I hope you guys see more than we did but the tour was 10000/10

This was my second time doing this excursion. Rob was our guide and he was awesome, really good at spotting wildlife. We saw 2 sunfish, 2 humpbacks, many seals, african penguins and heaveside dophins!

We saw Dusky dolphins, Heaviside's dolphins, african penguins, seals, a huge jellyfish, a few types of birds. It was so great that I am booking to go again next week!

It was an unforgettable experience. Our guide, Paul, was very informative and relaxed. We saw Wales, although not expected, Dolphins, Seals, and Penguins, and a perfect view of Table Mountain. The speedy ride parts were also a lot of fun, especially for the kids (8+10).

My airline cancelled the flight and I had to spend 2 days more in Cape Town. What a pity ;-) Now asking the difficult question how to make the best out of it. Easy answer: Going on a tour with Paul again. And I was lucky as there was one seat left on Sunday 11.30h. Perfect weather and the ocean was very different to the first trip. Much calmer and so we went out to and around Robben Island. It was amazing. You could just pick a direction and there were happy animals all over the place. Not even hunting - just enjoying the day with us. Now I´m back home sitting in front of my PC, watching the videos and pictures and thinking back to these trips I´ll never forget. Thanks again, Paul and hope to meet you again.

It was a wonderful experience. Paul is an excellent guide and great at spotting birds and animals of interest. The sunfish was probably the highlight for me.

Good trip. Very much focussed on wildlife but also nice views of Cape Town and table mountain. We saw dolphins, seals, and a couple of penguins.
Paul was amazing. Me and my sister went out to ocean bit skeptical but Paul made it excellent experience.
Great time with Paul, he made sure our experience was something to remember. He was DETERMINED to find the marine animals and of course he knew exactly where to look because we found them (Right Whales, Humpbacks, Seals, Dolphins, Sunfish, Penguins! Overall great experience!
Great boat and very worthwhile way to spend a couple hours. Paul was a friendly and knowledgeable guide and knew where to find all the marine life. Can’t believe the concentration of species we saw in just a couple hours: whales, dolphins, sunfish, penguins, jellyfish, and seabirds. And all with great views of Table Mountain and the Twelve Apostles from the ocean. Highly recommended!
