It was bilingual and was not supposed to be. The places we saw was lacking in substance. We didn’t go to more important sites A guy got on the bus and took our picture then at the end of the tour he had cheesy photos with us photoshopped into different places we didn’t not go. It seemed like every stop was planned to sell us stuff This was Summa tour . I wouldn’t recommend this tour

Buenos Aires Highlights

This was a small group tour by mini bus which held about 21 people. Buenos Aires is a big city so this tour takes in some of the highlights but you would need days to really explore the city. We were on a cruise so had limited time. We enjoyed our trip. You are driven around the city and get off bus for short periods of time to see sights and take photos. I would have liked more time at cathedral and in the La Boca area. This could have been achieved by omitting the wine tasting. Our guide was very informative and spoke good English.

Pick up at cruise port on time. Tour guide hold a sign with my name on it which was very good for me to see him. Love the colourful Caminito neighbourhood. Recommended this tour if you only have a day in Buenos Aires.

Great all around tour for a very large city

This was a wonderful, informative tour of a beautiful city. We went from neighborhood to neighborhood while guide was explaining the different areas. Noted several monuments and churches. Two of which we were allowed in. Gorgeous! I am sorry I don't remember the young lady's name. She was very pleasant, knowledgeable and helpful. And her English was way better than my Spanish!

Busy shore excursion with much of Buenos Aires beauty for little price

Instructions for departure at 9:30AM stated pickup at door 12 of the damaged Buenos Aires cruise terminal. There the Summa group tour guide Sophie greeted us with a logo umbrella and waiting van at 9:30AM. WE whisked off to visit 8 different neighborhoods of Buenos Aires covering the waterfront to the north of Palermo and Recoleto. The stop for the charming Recoleto church included tasting of Dulce de leche spread in a neighbor hood walk. Sophia filled in all the blanks on history. WE visited the Plaza Mayor and "Pink House". We had plenty of time for the Cathedral indoor visit. . WE wandered southward into Boca with a short stop at the famous soccer( football ) stadium. WE had an hour plus in Boca to enjoy the bright paintings and tango dancers .Some sought local food and "el bano" stop here. WE enjoyed the other neighborhoods some with stops and some with drive-bys such as the Obelisk and Theatre Colon. Our bus wandered back to the port after 5 hours of pursuing a great view of Buenos Aires with drop into the terminal. WE got much history and political commentary from our guide Sophia. She made the dark days of Argentina real when 30,000 young people went missing. But loving talked of her country. With only 10 passengers in our van getting in and out of the van made the trip efficient yet comfortable. There were no bad seats. As one whpo had

Too many stops, but otherwise great. Driver and guide were Avery good. Definitely good value. A smaller bus with less people should be consideted, even if it means having to charge a bit more.

Thoroughly enjoyed the tour. The tour guide was excellent and provided a lot of wonderful information. We appreciated that even though it was a small van, she used a microphone. Easy to hear and understand. She was great keeping our group together and it as a nice combination of riding in the van and walking around points of interest.

Franco was an excellent guide. Five stars. Very good English, funny, and knowledgeable. Highly recommended. More below about our overall experience. ================= The guide (Ezequiel) for this tour on Feb 25, 2023, arrived at our hotel after Franco [from a Viator local contractor] for a small group tour had already picked up my wife and myself and we were on the tour in a small van with about a dozen other participants. If the private tour guide had arrived first, he would have been our guide for the next 4 hrs. I paid $112 for this learning experience in Buenos Aires. My fault, not TripAdvisor's [except for the fact that Viator is a subsidiary of TripAdvisor and should have known there was a scheduling conflict between city tours because my name is shared in both TripAdvisor and Viator accounts. An advantage for sister companies is that they can share customer data and alert travelers in time to resolve potential scheduling conflicts. TripAdvisor/Viator seems to have neither the competence nor interest in using 21st century software technology to ensure a better customer experience. Having to pay for a tour not taken is not a good customer experience.]

Great Tour But ....

The tour was great. We hit all of the important places. The vehicle was full - there were about 22+ people on the small bus. We were picked up and dropped off at the port, all on time. Two suggestions. 1. More time (+15 min.) should be allowed at the plaza stop and less at the market stop. We had adequate time at the Cominada stop. 2. The guide appeared to be more comfortable in Portuguese and much less so in English. The group was 50-50 English-Portugese, the commentary was 30-70. A better guide would have been helpful.

Disappointing

Firstly we were supposed to be picked up outside of Gate 8 from our cruise terminal, a group of us were waiting just outside the door. The Guide was waiting outside of the port, as they were not allowed in - maybe the instructions should be clearer on where we should all wait - this wasted 20 minutes. We had only a 4 hour tour of the city (Buenos Aires is a large city). We stopped at the Cemetery (which was fine), we were provided an opportunity to go to the toilet there, which we did. We then went onto the next stop and had to wait 20 minutes at a coffee shop/toilet stop while the guide sad down for a coffee and we had to wander off to do nothing? We then stopped at the end for 30 minutes around a crowded market (which was restrictive on where we could walk due to security). I did not sign up for a coffee/market tour - very disappointing!

Dear Sir/Madam Thank you for taking your time to post a review. The meeting point is correct. Door # 8. We depend on the authorities at port to enter the port terminal and sometimes there are many buses and a long queue. To make it faster, we meet at door # 8, which is correct and then, in these situations (not always), if we are not allowed to enter quickly, we take passengers to our van to avoid more waiting and a late start of the tour. Regarding the stops, our guides give the main references and next, they let passengers have some free time on their own so they can take pictures, do some shopping or stock up on something or go to the toilets. Coffee shops provide this last service so sometimes a stop there is a must. Guides are also human and they need to drink something to continue speaking the rest of the tour. They usually take advantage of this in La Boca which is the place tourists enjoy more being on their own. This does not mean that guides are not at your dispossition. If you need some information or have any special request, they will gently offer their help and knowledge. We do take care of our passengers so if there is an area which is not safe, we must inform about it. We carefully organize every detail for our tours and we are sure you toured around the city and enjoyed other attractions. We are sorry that the tour was less attractive than what you expected.
