Mariano was very informative as we moved through areas of Buenos Aires that were exactas we had wanted, off the beaten track! Highly recommend

Great guide. Very knowledgeable took us to interesting places. Passed on his love of architecture and his city. If you have seen the normal tourist sites do give this a go.

This tour is nice if you have done other tours in Buenos Aires and want to see other areas. The church was beautiful, loved the architecture of the neighborhoods we drove thru and walked in.. Liked the fact the guide had a driver, so it was very efficient, didn’t have to look for parking. Mariano was very knowledgeable. Good use of the 4 hours.

Had a great tour. Went to some places that most tourists won’t see. It was interesting to learn about the diverse neighborhoods.

Great guide Mariano who is very knowledgeable about the city and history provided an excellent day touring unusual interesting sites throughout the city. We enjoyed seeing many different neighborhoods and the enormous interesting Cemetery!

This tour takes you to areas which are different from the normal touristy areas where everyone hangs out. Gives you the opportunity to discover many hidden gems which are well worth the visit. Our guide, Mariano was excellent and very friendly. He also has perfect Spanish and English. He took us to many interesting places. Some of the highlights I most enjoyed was visiting the tomb of Carlos Gardel, the beautiful church ln Caballito and the stop at "Chinatown". Would recommend this tour for anyone looking for something different and interesting.

If you like more detailed information about the area you're visiting and stuff the average tourist will learn this tour is for you. The cemetery you visit is incredible and probably my favorite part of the tour. The church where the pope was baptized was beautiful and the relationship with the pope is actually very low key. Mariano is very knowledgeable and an enjoyable host.

This is an excellent walking tour of the parts of Buenos Aires that you never normally see. We’ve been to Buenos Aires several times before and we’ve never been to any of the places we visited today. It’s really well organised with a driver taking you to places that are normally difficult to reach as a tourist, especially as Buenos Aires is such a big city. Big thumbs up to our guide. Highly recommended!

You will see patty’s of BA that you would never go to and that most tourists would never go to. Got to see neighbor hoods where the locals live and work

We enjoyed visiting the areas that only the locals know about. Our favorite area was Chinatown, did not realize how vast Buenos Aires is.

The Off the Beaten Path tour in Buenos Aires was a fantastic, immersive experience. It veered away from the usual tourist spots and took me through areas and neighborhoods you’d never see on a standard itinerary. The guide, Marcelo, was incredibly knowledgeable and brought the city’s character to life.
##Highlights
- Visited Chacarita and the mausoleum of tango greats, including Carlos Gardel.
- Explored neighborhoods that are off the typical tourist radar.
- Gorgeous architecture and vibrant street scenes that showcase Buenos Aires’ unique charm.
- I even spoke with locals who were unaware of some of what Marcelo showed me.
- You’ll discover Chinatown in Buenos Aires, a surprising highlight of the tour.
Marcelo was a standout guide—friendly, thoughtful, and full of interesting history and local insights. His depth of knowledge made the stops more meaningful and the whole experience more engaging.
Final verdict
If you’re seeking an authentic Buenos Aires experience away from the usual routes, this tour is a great choice. Highly recommended for architecture fans, history buffs, and anyone looking for a different perspective on the city.

Fantastic look at Buenos Aries that most people don’t get to see. We absolutely loved Mariano. Super knowledgeable about his city and its history and he’s really put together a great alternate to the traditional city tour. We did the classic tour on the day before and this was a great compliment to that, but if you only have a day this is also a fantastic option. Gives you a really local feel and a look at parts of the city you wont normally see.

I really appreciated getting to experience more of BA than I ever knew existed or found on the internet. The knoledgeable information provided during the entire tour made it even better. The transportation was seamless and being able to walk around and then be picked up where you stopped walking instead of having to rush back to find and meet a bus felt like a luxury. I would recommend this tour to everyone!

Our guide Juan Manuel and our driver were amazing! They showed us so many hidden gems in Buenos Aires we had no clue existed even after multiple visits to the city. They fine-tuned the tour to meet our interests, were so open and welcoming, and were beyond eager to answer any questions we had. Juan Manuel provided many amazing recommendations for the city as well. Could not recommend this tour enough, and try to request Juan Manuel if you can!

Mariano was a terrific guide. So glad we got to visit these hidden gems that tourists don't normally get to experience. Mariano was very knowledgeable and enthusiastic about each place we visited. Beautiful tree lined neighborhoods, loved the 130 year old market place. The old Chacarita Cemetery is full of Argentine history especially musical talent. Highlight was the Basilica that other tours don't visit. Thank you Mariano for a great day!

Sightseeing tour and places you wouldn't see otherwise. Advanced knowledge is very helpful for a tour in Spanish. But Mariano also speaks English. The schedule is being kept.
