Tango at la Ventana

The dinner was very good the food was above average. The service was efficient and attentive. The show was enjoyable but a tad too long If you are oicked and returned to you hotel by them, the bus trips will add 2 hours to evening.

Good show, but transport took away from experience

The show was very entertaining, we enjoyed that part very much. However, we booked the tango lesson as well, with hotel pickup beforehand. The pickup was 20 minutes delayed, which took away from the lesson time. And there was no response from the company when trying to contact them to get an eta. Frustrating. If booking the lesson, would recommend you take your own transport.

We had the show with meal & drinks. Good choice of excellent food and good show. Beautiful dancing and a guest musician and singers. Overall an excellent evening. Only negative is that it is not actually the venue shown in the picture. That is downstairs and superb ambiance in the old theatre with tiered seating and the show on the theatre stage ( we had a sneaky peak before going upstairs). The Gala venue upstairs is a simpler room with a raised dance platform to the sidem, but still nice and certainly didn't detract from the show.

A mixed experience

This was a mixed, average experience. The hotel pickup was timely and smooth. The venue was very nice and welcoming. The waiters were real piranhas: trying to upsell the wines and other extras. We had already paid a lot to attend the dinner + tango show and could have done without the high pressure used car salesmanship. The dinner was excellent: huge quantities - the steaks were around 15-16 ounces, but melt in your mouth. The tango dancers were breath taking and very accomplished. Towards the end of the show, the waiters were once again near ruthlessly extorting tips. Really spoilt the experience for a second time. The hotel drop off after the show was again seamless and smooth. The waiters’ attitude really spoilt it for us. Too bad.

Large steak is tough. Would have been better to be a smaller steak that is better quality. Wait service poor. Argentina people usually do not tip and service reflects that. The show was exciting and worth the money.

The venue was terrific and the food was excellent. The show was very good and was a good length with a lot of varied talent. The only suggestion for improvement is the transportation instructions. We and no one we talked to in Buenos Aries could identify the listed "departure point." The listed departure location listed on the ticket was the address for the venue. The actual departure point was our ship terminal, but it never said that. Departure point needs to be more clearly identified. We took a taxi to the venue and arrived a little early which turned out fine as it gave us time to look around. Well worth seeing the show and having dinner.
