Dinner was excellent and good quality. We enjoyed thoroughly the drinks and three course dinner. Food was prepared excellently and more than we can eat. Show was good but room was very small so it obstructed our view. In 2023 we saw another Tango Show which was better as far as I remember and the hall was huge and stage was lot higher so it did not obstruct anybody's view. The dance quality was better and the whole show told us a story which was missing here.

Attending a tango show in Buenos Aires was an unforgettable highlight of our honeymoon - and even more special as it fell on my birthday. We chose the full experience at El Viejo Almacen, which included dinner before the show, champagne during the performance and pick-up and drop-off from our Airbnb.
From the moment the performance began, the atmosphere was electric.
The dancers were mesmerising - precise, powerful and deeply expressive. Their connection and intensity were captivating, telling stories through every movement. The musicians were exceptional, bringing richness and authenticity to the performance, and the singers added such emotional depth with their powerful and evocative voices.
One particularly striking moment was a duo performance that blended tango with a dramatic, almost martial-arts-like routine - incorporating movements reminiscent of nunchaku-style choreography. It was unexpected, dynamic and completely unique, adding a thrilling edge to the traditional programme.
What made the evening truly extraordinary, however, was an entirely unexpected surprise. The legendary Argentine singer Hugo Marcel made a special appearance and, to our amazement, wished us a happy honeymoon and birthday from the stage. It was such a generous and heartfelt gesture. Hearing his voice live was incredible - he is immensely talented - and in that moment my heart was racing.
It was an evening filled with passion, artistry and beautiful surprises - one we will remember for the rest of our lives.

Here for work and our local guide recommended this spot out of all the tango places in Buenos Aires and it did not disappoint! Driver was prompt and courteous. Dinner was fantastic and service was prompt. We received our tango ticket when we sat down. Then we were kindly directed (without feeling rushed) to the tango show across the street. I would have preferred to choose my own seat since we arrived early and still had a partially obstructed view. The performance was wonderful - talented, passionate dancers and musicians. I was surprised with the variety as well - tango, singing, band-focuses performances, and the gauchos were especially amazing. Great Argentine experience overall and a great deal!
Note: if you are vegetarian, make sure to mention that to the server. My pumpkin ravioli came with ham/bacon bits in the sauce.

They changed the time from 8:30 to 9:30 and gave us no choice. Then it didn’t start until after 10pm. We had a very early start the next day and never would have booked this at the later time. The seats were under an overhang and I could only see 1/2 of what was going on. The piano player had no head the entire show. I missed 1/2 of every movie they played. Missed a bunch of the dances because of the overhang and a huge pole in front of me. Ridiculous to sell seats for so much money and have an obstructed view. I am honestly furious and feel ripped off.

The experience was first rate from the pickup from the hotel, the dinner, and to the drive back to the hotel. While the dinner was okay the show was tremendous. While we had a bottle of wine with dinner, the show included drinks.

We did the 9:30pm tango show with no dinner. We ate dinner in the area and then came for the show. The show started around 10 but we got there at 9:20 and got to enjoy beverages (included) while we waited. The show ended around 11:30 so it was a long show. The musicians were fantastic and the tango dancing was so impressive. The location was intimate and historic. You will not be disappointed!

You are allocated seats and quite a few have a restricted view of the stage. There are two very large pillars and you can’t see the whole stage. You should also be aware the show doesn’t start until about 10.

Dinner was in the building across the street. It was very good. After dinner you went over to show. The show was fantastic. They did only speak in Spanish but we were able to follow along. Some days were limited viewing but you could still see most of the stage.

This is an evening with a 12 punch. The restaurant had linen table clause in a very nice offering of food. The atmosphere was lovely. Then you go just across the street to the theater where the tango show is fabulous. I would recommend this to anybody young and old.

Meal was really good and the waiter was excellent. The Tango show was fantastic good view. The only down side was the transport to the restaurant we were late getting there because the driver waited for over ten minutes at one hotel for two people who never turned up. We were the last ones getting to the restaurant and then into the show hall.

A fantastic experience! In a small intimate venue with so much history that changed the music of tango forever. great dance troupe and musicians that come together to bring unforgettable memories. Authentic Porteño tango show with excellent local artists and wonderful service. Small and cozy, without the Hollywood-type production as other bigger establishments. If you want a genuine and local experience, this is the place.

Yesterday I attended a tango show at El Viejo Almacén in Buenos Aires, and I highly recommend it. The experience included dinner and drinks, which made the evening even more enjoyable.
The show was absolutely beautiful—truly unforgettable. The dancers, music, and atmosphere captured the spirit of Argentine tango perfectly.
I would also like to highlight the excellent service. Leticia, our waiter, provided outstanding and attentive service throughout the evening. Ximena at the theater was also very kind and professional.
Overall, it was an amazing program, and I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Buenos Aires!

Didn't expect much regarding the meal, but was pleasantly surprised with a nice selection and decent food, and service. I expected a lot from the Tango, and got that in spades!! It was fantastic. Well done.

The performers and musicians were very talented. BEWARE OF SEATS. They are assigned to you by venue. We were assigned seats that were on second level but BEHIND THE STAGE. Our view was the back of the performers. The venue should warn customers that these are “limited view” at best. The owner apologized and offered us to come back again for free, but it was our last night.
Also, the show doesn’t start until after 22:00 so don’t rush to get there on time. The hostess told us to arrive by 21:20 but our waiter didn’t even take our first drink order until 21:50.

Great intimate venue. We enjoyed the smaller venue. Food was delicious and plenty of it. Service was personable. They had English speaking servers.

The show was good. buyer beware... You get what you pay for in terms of seating. I bought the least expensive seats and was in the very back row (poor visibility, next to the bathroom, with the lights not dimmed). All seating is not equal in this small venue.

The show was wonderful! If you book it, I would specify that you want a table in the middle or not in the back corner because our visibility was a bit obstructed by the mezzanine ceiling. Overall great experience though.

First class. Booked day before and communications excellent. The show was a r elevation. Superb dancers whose fluidity and speed of dance was exciting. As indeed were the other acts on the show. We found the food in the restaurant opposite to the show was also high quality along with the service.. well worth the price.

This is the Best Tango show that we’ve seen. This truly shows the history of Tango’s culture. I would highly recommend this as a must do in Buenos Aires.

Excellent show but terrible seat. Could not see well, so disappointed. Large man in front and his partner holding up phone to record everything. Torture really. It could have been magical. Nice venue. Excellent dinner with great wait staff.
