It's ok but we waited a long time and could easily just walk or uber to the sights. The buses are fine but the commentary gets annoying after a while.
Response from Host, Aug 2026
Hi Neil,
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback with us.
We’re sorry to hear that the waiting times affected your experience and that the onboard commentary became repetitive after a while. We completely understand that, depending on traffic and the time of day, exploring Buenos Aires by walking or using a ride service can sometimes feel faster between certain attractions.
The Hop-On Hop-Off service is designed to offer a relaxed way to discover the city while connecting many of its main sights, but your comments are very valuable to us and help us identify areas where the overall experience can be improved.
We truly appreciate your visit and hope you were still able to enjoy Buenos Aires and take home some wonderful memories of the city.
Warm regards,
Sebastian Sanchez

Mayhem during Holy week
Alina_R, Apr 2026
We picked this company since they had the buses more often, but it took us 3 buses wait to get out of caminito since the lines were so long. The stops are the same as the red buses so the lanes get mixed. This was a big problem especially at the San Telmo stop, eventually the yellow line was separated and formed behind a couple of parked unmarked buses (about 40 people), thus the yellow busses kept skipping the stop (2 times ) and when they stopped ( 3 buses in total) they only picked up a handful of passengers. Ended up taking a cab to catch it 2 stops over and once in downtown, they transferred us to another bus that took 20 min to take off. So just wasted a lot of time waiting...
Response from Host, Apr 2026
Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us.
We are truly sorry to read about the delays and frustration you experienced during Holy Week. Dates like these bring exceptionally high demand in Buenos Aires, but even in that context, we fully understand how disappointing it is to spend such a large part of your day waiting instead of enjoying the city.
We especially appreciate the detail you provided regarding the situation in Caminito, San Telmo, the mixed lines, the difficulty identifying the correct boarding area, and the additional delay caused by the transfer downtown. Feedback like yours is extremely valuable, because it helps us clearly identify where the experience did not meet the standard we want for our passengers.
Please accept our sincere apologies for the inconvenience caused. A hop-on hop-off service should offer freedom, flexibility, and a pleasant way to discover the city, and we regret that in your case the operational congestion during one of the busiest periods of the year affected that experience so heavily.
Thank you again for bringing this to our attention. We truly value your comments and will take them seriously as part of our ongoing efforts to improve organization, stop management, and the boarding experience during peak-demand dates.
Warm regards,
Sebastian Sanchez
A quick overview of BA.
fred_h, Mar 2026
We boarded at stop 2 just after 9am. A tour guide scanned our QR codes and gave us a map. We stayed on up to stop 21 about 12 midday.
Response from Host, Mar 2026

Make sure you have a QR code before the trip.
Earl_B, Feb 2026
If I was sent a QR code I could not find it on the day for Tour. All I had was a confirmation number. The street attendants put me on a Yellow bus. The bus attendant put me off at the next stop. I had to walk almost a mile to get back to where I started. The street attendants put me on a red bus. The attendant said I was on the wrong bus and advised me to get off and take the Yellow bus. I said I was put off the yellow bus. He let me stay on. I rode the entire circuit for rear I would not get back on if I got off. I bc did not have a good experience.
Response from Host, Feb 2026
Thank you for sharing your experience.
After personally reviewing your reservation, I can confirm that there was a failure on our side regarding the delivery of the QR code required to access the service. For that, I sincerely apologize. This was clearly not the experience we aim to provide.
As soon as we identified the situation, we processed a full refund of your booking (USD 42) and immediately reinforced our internal procedures to ensure that all required documentation is properly sent before each departure.
At FONTENAY TOURS, we believe that when something does not go as planned, the right thing to do is to take responsibility and resolve it promptly. Your feedback helps us improve, and I truly appreciate you bringing this to our attention.
I hope we may have the opportunity to welcome you again in the future and provide the seamless experience you deserved from the beginning.

Edwin_A, Feb 2026
Don't by your ticket here. Way to expensive,....00000000_______nnononono-------⁰0000000000000000000000
Response from Host, Feb 2026
Dear Edwin,
Thank you for sharing your feedback. I’m sorry to learn that you felt the price was higher than expected.
We always strive to maintain transparent and competitive pricing. However, when tickets are purchased through international platforms such as Viator, the final price may include service fees and distribution costs that are not directly set by us. For this reason, prices may differ from those offered at local kiosks.
That said, we want every guest to feel fully confident in their decision. If you wish, I would be glad to personally review your case and clarify any questions.
We appreciate you taking the time to share your perspective, as it helps us continue improving.
Kind regards,
Sebastian Sanchez

Stops early, around...
Leslie_D, Jun 2025
Stops early, around 5:00pm, which isn’t very late. The stops were mis-numbered on one of the busses, but the info was good. On another bus there was no information. The busses did not run on time as they stated, but that wasn’t too bad.
Response from Host, Jun 2025
Dear Leslie,
Thank you so much for sharing your experience with us! 🌟

Not worth the money....
Andres_R, Apr 2025
Family of 4 spent ~160 for a glorified bus ride.
The best thing was the map with the key spots of the city. However, the bus service was not that reliable. One bus was so old that the audio units did not work at all. Also, bus missed stops and did not follow schedule (had to wait more than 30') at a stop.
In the end we only hopped on and off twice. Would have been better off buying a city guide and taking a couple of taxis.
Too expensive for what it is.
Response from Host, Apr 2025
Dear Andres,
Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. I’m truly sorry to hear that your expectations weren’t fully met — that’s never what we hope for, especially when it comes to discovering a city as vibrant as Buenos Aires.
We deeply value your feedback regarding the audio system and delays. We’ve already shared your comments with the operational team to ensure improvements are made swiftly. Our goal is always to provide a smooth, enjoyable, and enriching experience, and when that doesn't happen, we take it to heart.
That said, I'm glad you found the city map helpful — it’s designed to highlight the best of Buenos Aires, and I hope it inspired some memorable moments during your time here.
If you ever return, I’d love to personally offer you a better experience and help you explore the city in a way that truly reflects the quality and passion we stand for.
