The hop-on hop-off bus...

The hop-on hop-off bus gave us opportunity to have a quick look at different neighbourhoods of Buenos Aires. We can then decide which places we would like to see more. The bus also made our visit to La Boca easy. There is a stop very near the famous Caminito Street and the Colón Fábrica. The audio information was very good. It will be better if there are more venues where we can redeem our vouchers for tickets.

There was a lot of doubling back on the route making the journey longer than necessary. The commentary was informative and I can’t fault that. At many stops waiting passengers couldn’t get on leaving them standing in the hot sun. More buses are needed to fulfil demand.

We had the two-day pass. The second day, the driver did not take the same route as the first day (but made the same stops) which confused us. We didn't recognize our "hop off" sites. It's also a very long ride - it took us almost four hours to just ride the route (not hopping off). Also, the bus announcer did not announce the "stop numbers" which also confused us as there's so many stops.

I've done a lot of hop on hop off buses in a lot of places and this was my least favorite. More music than information. First driver was good but second driver was horrible. Very slow and didn't seem comfortable driving the bus. We ended up getting off at San Telmo to show then grabbing a cheap Uber. Price is cheap enough but the experience was lacking.

Great way to get the lay of the land, but somewhat disorganized.

Hop on, hop off but the whole circuit can take nearly 4 hrs. Great way to get an intro to the city and the lay out. The negative: a little disorganized. The viator bar code along with QR codes other passengers bought via other means weren’t accepted on the bus and caused a mad rush at the ticket booth. On top of that, the audio didn’t work on either my or my wife’s seat. In addition, for some unknown reason the bus stops in the middle of the route and gives you the option of waiting 15 minutes or giving up your good seat and transferring to another bus. Finally, viator said nothing about the special hours on New Years Day but the yellow bus website did, simultaneously saying a 12:35 pm first bus and no buses on New Years Day.
