After disembarking from your cruise ship at the port in Buenos Aires, meet your local guide in the morning or the afternoon, depending on your preference. Board a comfortable coach heading out of the city center along Costanera Avenue, bound for San Isidro and the Tigre River Delta.
Visit San Isidro, the town where many wealthy Argentine families fled during the yellow fever epidemic in the 1800s. Its spectacular Gothic cathedral dates back to 1706. Continue on to Tigre, stepping aboard a comfortable catamaran for a 40-minute boat ride departing from the Puerto de Frutas. As you cruise, learn from your guide how local residents conduct their lives on the water.
Visit the home of former Argentine president Domingo Sarmiento and the museum dedicated to his life. See homes built on stilts atop what was once a swamp, but has now been developed into a neighborhood with grass footpaths. We really enjoyed this trip. The Tigre Delta and the boat trip was extremely interesting and our stop at San Isidro to see the Cathedral was also great. Our guide was very knowledgeable and helpful.

The tour guide was excellent with a knowledge of several languages and a knowledge of the tour and brought to our attention many details. That is why we go with a tour rather on ourselves. Her English was great.

Our guide Asland was wonderful. Very knowledgeable, friendly and a perfect guide. Loved driving thru some beautiful neighborhoods and the boat cruise down the Tigre River was fascinating. Loved this trip!!

It was a great tour we had a great time and went to a lovely market in a train station. Although it rained quite heavily it was still very enjoyable.

I wasn't aware that guide would be speaking in 2 languages i.e. Spanish and English during the tour on the bus. We felt it was said much less in English than in Spanish. Visual and cultural value on land was minimal. I would've prefered to only English speaking group..
