Fun and informative tour of La Boca!

Really enjoyed learning about the history of La Boca. Without a guide, you’d miss out on understanding the buildings and even touring them in closer detail. Chocolate and wine tastings were a bonus! We were very lucky to have Rafa as our tour guide - he was wonderful! It was a very hot day and he made the experience so much fun!

Disappointing Tour of La Boca

The tour did not align with the description listed on the website. To start, our tour guide was changed prior to the start of the tour. When we booked the tour it was listed as being 2.5 hours, would discuss the history of La Boca, would include a museum tour, and wine tasting. Unfortunately, our tour started 15 minutes late, and while the guide was amicable and kind, we felt shorted on learning about the history of the area. Much of the tour was focused on walking through restaurants, gift shops, and talking about personal anecdotes and pop-culture rather than the history of the area. We wrapped up the “walking tour” after 60 minutes, with no wine tasting even though it was included in the description. The tour guide told us that we could end the tour at 60 minutes, or pay for admission to the art museum, and since we opted to pay for the museum portion (which should have been included), that added an additional 30 minutes of silently walking around the exhibit. Because of the major discrepancies in the tour description, versus what was actually received, I would NOT recommend this tour to anyone considering walking around La Boca. The tour was quite expensive and did not meet anyone’s expectations.

The tour guide as expected was Rafa, and there was no change in that regard, but we do understand your frustration related to your expectation and the result.
