The driver, Steve, was amazing! He was funny, told great stories and was quite informative about local culture, history and amenities. I would definitely recommend booking through a shuttle tour especially if you're not renting a car. It's a great convenience not having to worry about transportation and navigating between the city and the zoo.
The zoo was incredible, lots to see. I missed out on booking a close encounter, (upfront visitation with animals and a handler). Definitely need to book those a few months out depending on which animals you'd like to see. Otherwise I did get to pet a koala and feed kangaroos. If you get there right when the zoo opens, head straight to customer service to buy the Roo food ($3 AUD) and then to the kangaroo paddock. You'll get a kangaroo to feed all to yourself and they'll be hungry. They're full later in the day. The Warrior show was spectacular. Pay attention to which direction the sun is going so your stats aren't out on the hot sun during the show.

I highly recommend using this tour to visit the zoo. I wanted to see the zoo but was nervous as a solo traveler, this was a safe way to get to and from efficiently and see some sights along the way. The couple who ran the tour were extremely communicative, informative, and helpful and gave great instructions to see the zoo in the most efficient way possible. Definitely recommend using this if you want to see the zoo!

Our driver Steve was funny and full of fun facts. He gave us ideas for dinner and shopping in Brisbane. We had a wonderful time on this tour. Bring a hat, water bottle and good walking shoes.

Great day. Our driver Steve was so much fun, it made the trip short. He filled us in with some great facts about the area. Then he gave us great tips on how to get through the park. The zoo was fabulous. Getting yo pet and feed tge kangaroos snd pet the koala and take pictures was amazing.
The best part was the croc show featuring the Irwins.

Excellent experience overall! Steve was our driver and he entertained us with stories and information about the sights we passed by on the way He kept us all giggling most of the way to the zoo! He took us to the animal hospital first so we could see how rescued animals were cared for. Then he escorted us into the zoo without standing in line. He gave us specific instructions of where to meet and even gave us hints of how to see the most in our short time and how to avoid crowds. His map notations worked perfectly to allow us to beat the crowds to the kangaroo feeding and to be able to see the croc show as well. The zoo is spectacular. This is the absolute best way to see the zoo especially if you have only a short time in the area.

The excursion to the Australia Zoo was fantastic! Our driver Steve picked us up at our hotel, and then took us to and from the zoo. During the trip, he provided a lot of interesting tidbits, some humor and several great recommendations. We would not have seen nearly as many zoo highlights without his help and suggestions.

We had a great time. The main show was excellent and the birds landed very close. The crocodiles were also great in the show as well as the commentary. You could pat a koala in the zoo under supervision and get a close up picture of one certain koala as well as kangaroos. Good range of food in the cafe. The place is well set out with a good tange of animals. There are shuttles if you wish to take you to different areas. Our driver to the zoo was also very pleasant. A good way to spend a day.

Zoo was amazing so clean. They take such good care of the animals. We even got to see the Irwin’s. Terry and Robert were part of the crocodile show. Amazing. Totally recommend this.

Tour is mostly just transportation to the zoo, which was expected so pretty much exactly what it says. There wasn’t much guiding or getting to know you, talking to others, etc.. I did appreciate the bus driver gave us a recommended path around the zoo, which I did follow. Time at the zoo felt a little rushed to me, I would have liked maybe one more hour and I was a solo traveler with no kids. It was also not a super busy day (a Tuesday), so I do recommend a weekday if your plans allow it! Overall, stress-free transport to the zoo was nice but if you want to be on your own time maybe better to take the train on your own.

My adult son and I are from America, and had an unexpected free day in Brisbane, so we booked a day trip to the Australian Zoo, having seen it on American television and having watched it with my sons when they were growing up. The driver was on time and knowledgeable. The zoo was a great once in a lifetime experience and we both enjoyed the day. We have been to many zoos in many countries, unique to this zoo was the opportunity to pet kangaroos and koalas. There's a lot of walking up and down hills, so wear sneakers that provide good support. Your feet will thank you.

Steve was a great guide. Entrance to the zoo was so easy. Steve gave us a route suggestion and it worked perfectly! The 1:15 show was a little lame, but others may have thought it was great.

Such a fun day. Good locations to choose from for pick up and drop off. 5-6 hours at the zoo is plenty of time to see a variety of animals and shows. Would recommend this tour.

After about an hour and 15 minute drive in a very comfortable, 21 passenger coach we arrived at the zoo. We got to visit the hospital where citizens can bring in any injured animals they find. Next we entered to zoo. Although it was crowded the day we attended (Grace’s 5th birthday) we were able to see all the animals. What we appreciated were the abundance of shade and areas to rest and just enjoy the environment. We loved being able to be in the enclosures with kangaroo and lemurs.
The crocodile show in the Crocoseum was the highlight of the day.
