Brilliant day, incredibly relaxing. Staff (especially Kayla) were delightful, saw heaps of beautiful fish and a turtle, lunch was delicious, the boat was stunning, the island is gorgeous. Note that the current around the wreck was surprisingly strong, so opt for wetsuit and lifejacket if not a really strong swimmer. We were really getting pushed along.

Great day out!

Francesco_V, Mar 2026
Full day on the boat with time to snorkel the wrecks, wander the beach, swim and SUP. The snorkel is (rightly) tightly managed, small groups of 6-8 people with a guide, and while the fish variety isn’t huge the quantity and proximity was. Crew and staff were young, enthusiastic, friendly and good at what they do.

Response from Host, Mar 2026

Thank you so much for your wonderful review! We’re thrilled you had such a great day exploring Moreton Island and enjoying the snorkelling and swimming around the wrecks. Your kind words about our crew truly mean the world to us. We hope to welcome you back again soon! - See Moreton Team.

Nice day out but far too many people - overall disappointing

Stella_J, Feb 2026
Let’s start with the positives - the boat was lovely, super clean and well maintained as was the shuttle bus from Brisbane CBD. The staff were super friendly and helpful and the food was excellent. The weather was perfect and Moreton is idyllic. All that said sadly the trip was sadly disappointing as I wasn’t expecting the vast number of people on the boat. I wasn’t expecting a private tour by any means but 100+ people meant that the snorkelling was extremely busy and we were jostled and kicked several times. There were multiple large snorkelling groups from the boat which were sent out in turn. We unfortunately drew the short straw and were allocated in the last group to leave the boat by which time the tide had gone out and a lot of the wrecks were inaccessible as the water depth was too shallow and there was little to see. Earlier groups had a much better experience. Would I do this trip again - NO. Would I find another operator with a smaller boat and go to Moreton again - absolutely!

Response from Host, Feb 2026

Thank you for your review - we’re genuinely pleased you enjoyed the boat, transport, food, our crew, and the beautiful Moreton Island conditions. We’d like to clarify a few points for future readers. During peak periods our vessel does operate at capacity, however we strictly cap numbers well below what the boat is actually certified to carry. Our three-level vessel is designed to comfortably accommodate far more guests than we allow onboard, specifically to maintain space, comfort, and safety. For snorkelling, guests are split into small guided groups of up to 12 people per guide, which is standard practice across the industry. We also actively encourage guests to spread out while snorkelling to avoid swimming over one another, as the wreck site is extensive and offers plenty of room to explore. Groups enter the water in staggered rotations, which is necessary for safety and organisation. Being in a later snorkel group does not influence factors outside of our control such as tides, or visibility — these conditions naturally change throughout the day and can affect all operators equally. We’re sorry to hear that the experience didn’t meet your expectations overall, but we do appreciate your honest feedback and are glad you were still able to enjoy many aspects of the day. Moreton Island truly is a special place, and we hope you have a wonderful experience on your next visit.

Stunning Moreton Island!

Sophi_B, Dec 2025
We had such a lovely day on this trip! The boat is stunning and the crew are great. Plenty of refreshments available and lunch included. We thoroughly enjoyed the snorkelling and opportunity to explore the beach, paddleboard or just swim around the boat following lunch. All the crew are friendly, approachable and knowledgeable of the local area and wildlife. Although it was slightly more expensive then other providers, it was certainly worth the money.

Response from Host, Dec 2025

Thank you so much for the 5 star review! We’re delighted you enjoyed the experience both on and off the water and found it worth the value. We’d love to welcome you back again sometime!- See Moreton Team

An amazing day out

Asta_B, Apr 2025
I really enjoyed the day on this tour. The pick up was smooth. The check in process is very easy. Caroline was a very experienced guide to help us navigate via shipwrecks. The team worked amazingly together. The food was very tasty and there were plenty of it. Some time on the beach and looking for dolphins or other creatures like turtles which we saw. An amazing day out.

Response from Host, Apr 2025

Thank you for the fantastic review! We're thrilled to hear you had an amazing time over at Moreton Island and that you enjoyed the tasty buffet lunch, the beach time, the wildlife and the snorkelling experience at the Tangalooma Wrecks.

Long trip for a very small portion of snorkelling

Chloe_M, Feb 2025
It’s a good way to see the shipwrecks and snorkel but it’s a lot of money for what it actually is. The lunch and snacks are lovely, but there are too many people which means actually getting to snorkel takes too long. The snorkel itself is 45 minutes in the water so would advise for young children or people who cannot swim well. We had a lot of people in our group that couldn’t swim and it took a lot longer to snorkel around. The beach time is a bit unnecessary as your spending 45 minutes in the water anyway

Response from Host, Feb 2025

Amazing day trip, must do 🐬

Janelle_O, Feb 2025
V well organised, lunch was delicious which included fresh prawns, salads & a bar for a cold bevy . I felt very safe with my guide when snorkelling and we were so lucky, we had beautiful beautiful weather and got to see a bunch of dolphins

Response from Host, Feb 2025

Thank you Janelle for your 5 star review of See Moreton! We're so glad you enjoyed the activities and lunch as well as seeing some amazing wildlife :)

Fun boat tour to Moreton!

Alberto_A, Feb 2025
Very well organized and comfortable boat. Moreton is beautiful and snorkeling in the wrecks with so much marine life and turtles was amazing. The downside side are too many hours in the boat and less than an hour snorkeling and at the beach! Feels a bit rushed and could be organized for a longer stay. Highly recommend see moreton to everyone!!

Response from Host, Feb 2025

Thank you for your 5 star review of See Moreton! We're really glad you enjoyed your snorkelling and got to see some wonderful marine wildlife. Thank you for your feedback about the timings of the day, we are always looking for ways we can improve the cruise for future passengers. We hope to see you on board again in future :)

Too many snorkelers on tour

Margarita_P, Feb 2025
This would have been a better experience if the groups were smaller. The large groups made this experience while snorkeling rushed and hectic. Not fun fighting flippers in the face. Great equipment. Great operators and service. Interesting snorkel sight. Just too crowded.

Response from Host, Feb 2025

Thank you for your kind review. We value your feedback and are thrilled you enjoyed your day on board our SeeMoreton Day Cruise.

Great spot not enough time.

Stewart_B, Feb 2025
You Only have one sweep off the wrecks, put in groups off little experience to great experience.45mins only (all up ) at the site.

Response from Host, Feb 2025

Worst Moreton trip

Ghislain_D, Apr 2024
The only good time for this tour was the time we were let go on the beach. The wreck dive was too dangerous with the waves and the current. It does not say that once you go snorkeling you are committed to 35 to 45 minutes. My wife can only do 20 minutes at most. We did not see any dolphin. If the Captain sees dolphins, then he stops and try to show them, so you may get lucky. Again the advertisement makes it sound that part of the tour is to look for dolphins which is a lie. We should have been dropped off on the main vessel from the small vessel, but instead we were stuck on the small vessel. There is no explanation as to where we can par the vehicle at the marina and no directions for the meeting point. The crew was disorganized. This is the worst tour we went on in Australia and I definitely do not recommend it to anyone.

Response from Host, Jul 2024

Hi there, Thank you for taking the time to leave feedback on your experience. Our timetable of the day is available on our website and during your tour, which includes approx. 1 hour of snorkelling the Tangalooma Wrecks. Due to the nature of the activity, we recommend guests are confident to swim for the duration of the activity. As dolphins are wild animals, we cannot guarantee the number that will be spotted on any given day. Moreton Island is home to one of the largest dolphin populations in Australia, and we see them on 99% of tours. Unfortunately, they must have chosen to not approach the vessel on your tour. I have taken your feedback to management and appreciate you taking the time to tell us about your experience. If you would like to discuss any further, please don't hesitate to talk to our team at info@seemoreton.com.au

Okay but wouldn’t be first on the list again

AnnMarie_B, Apr 2024
Nice day out and lunch was a nice touch but a bit pricy for essentially a few hours on the beach and 30 mins of snorkelling.

Great day out.

Craig_J, Apr 2024
Although you initially think it’s not a cheap day out, by the end of the day you’ve found you’ve had a bargain! The crew were fantastic. Lunch was amazing. We thought it’d be the usual 3 day old stale sandwich, how wrong!! King prawns, pasta salad, chicken, it was so good most people went up for 3rd helpings!! Moreton island is a paradise just of the coast. Spotted numerous pods of dolphins on the way to and back. Also saw a giant green sea turtle. Kids 10, 12 and 14 loved the snorkelling over the wrecks. Absolutely great day out. You get what you pay for!!

Response from Host, Apr 2024

Hi Craig, thank you for your amazing review! We're thrilled to hear you had an awesome day out on See Moreton with your Family! We will pass along your feedback to the vessel crew as well. :) Warm Regards, Justin @ See Moreton.

A really enjoyable day, informative and safe.

Karen_R, Apr 2024
Staff were terrific, keeping people safe at all times. It was a bit Crowded at the shipwrecks. Lunch was great and plenty for everyone. The Captain allowed for lots of time viewing dolphins and turtles. Pick up from town a big help.

Too crowded in the water

Diana_D, Apr 2024
Water was too murky and way too many people at once. This needs to have smaller groups and based on skill

Beautiful experience

Virginia_H, Mar 2024
The wrecks are simply beautiful. We saw everything on our day; turtles, dolphins, dugong, clown fish, angel fish, puffer fish. The crew was very nice and the food was good.

A really great day

LYNETTE_D, Mar 2024
We loved watching the dolphins, turtles and dugong swimming, we also saw a stingray in the shallow waters. The wreck was a great experience and a lovely lunch to finish it off. Even though the weather wasn’t great it was a brilliant day had by our visitors from Canada and ourselves.

Morton Island Sea Life Adventures

Ronald_G, Mar 2024
Overall a good day. The catamaran that you take to the island is well maintained, comfortable and well equipped. The lunch meal has a good variety of salads and food to choose from and was very fresh. The crew is very friendly, willing to help, and takes the safety of the participants very seriously. The highlight of the snorkeling was seeing the green sea turtle. On the return trip there was time to stop and view other sea life, including the dugong and the pod of dolphins. If you are looking for a good day on Morton Island you may wish to consider this trip.
