This tour exceeded all expectations and was one of the best experiences of our trip. The day was beautifully organized, with stunning mountain views and three excellent boutique wineries, each offering generous tastings (6–8 wines per stop) and a unique atmosphere. Our guide, Anthony, was fantastic—friendly, knowledgeable, and made the entire day seamless and fun. He struck the perfect balance between guiding the group and giving us time to relax and enjoy each stop. The lunch at Mason Winery was a standout—absolutely superb food in a beautiful setting. It was the perfect break in the middle of the day. We also had a great group, including two nurses from Utah who kept everyone laughing for hours—such a fun and memorable part of the experience. The final stop at an “off the grid” distillery was a great surprise and a perfect way to end the tour. If you’re looking for a relaxed, high-quality wine tour with great people, excellent wine, and beautiful scenery—this is it. Would absolutely do it again!

A little disappointing. We were met by Mint in Brisbane who transported us to the Tamborine Mountain, there we met Michelle who took good care of us at the each winery. Our lunch stop was very disappointing. Once we arrived at the lodge for lunch, we were met by a large crowd of party goers, quite loud, tasted a few wines and headed indoors for lunch. The tables were long banquet style tables that seated approximately 20 people each. The room was very loud, live music playing that was hard to decipher due to poor acoustics. After waiting in line to buy drinks, we waited approximately one hour or longer for our lunch. While the lunch food was tasty, waiting that long was not. Due to the large parties in the banquet room, we simply had to wait our turn. The menu indicated dessert was included, but we never received it. Last year I visited the same wine tour to the mountain but the location for food was different, more civilized and not loud and noisy, no long wait time for lunch and wine was included in the price of the tour. Needless to say, I would not recommend this activity.

Michelle was a fantastic guide and driver. While the winery where we were supposed to have lunch was closed for a private function, the Irish pub was a lovely alternative. Our group of 6 got along really well together and it was a thoroughly enjoyable day.

Fun, relaxing day on the mountain. We enjoyed the local wine tasting and a lovely lunch at the last winery. We did this following a hectic work week and it was lovely. Michelle was a great driver/guide and the van comfortable. We had a fun, younger group with us for the first two wineries and our lunch ended up being private which was super relaxing. It was a fun filled 8 hours wine tour …honestly it was a tad disorganized at the beginning…there were different sites to check latest updates …text,email,Viator app then eventually got the final update on what’s app that I needed to download…but other that that out driver/tour operator was funny and informative

And because we know many travellers don’t always have a local SIM card, we also provide updates via WhatsApp, which can be accessed over hotel Wi-Fi. This review is a little tricky because our driver (Michaela) and tour guide (Andy) did an amazing job. However, with that being said, our tour took place on Mother’s Day and we were not able to complete the tour as listed on the booking due to availability issues. We completed the Tambourine Mt. and Hampton’s wine tasting but we were not able to go to Cedar Creek or Witches Falls (the majority of the reason I booked the tour). We did not have lunch at the listed restaurant (Hampton’s) either due to availability issues. Instead, we went to the Irish Pub (food was delicious but took a long time due to them fitting us in from Hampton’s not being able to accommodate our tour) and had a drink included with our meal. It is disappointing that this occurred and unfortunate. Like I said in the beginning, our driver was great and Andy did the best he could given the circumstances he was dealt, but I do feel as if we were not accommodated correctly.

We’re truly sorry that the tour didn’t go exactly as listed, especially on such a special day like Mother’s Day. The influx of last-minute bookings late Saturday evening caught us by surprise, and unfortunately, none of our partner venues advised us they would be at capacity the next day, this was because they also received a large number of last minute bookings after hours. As part of our usual process, we confirm bookings with venues early in the morning and then again at 10am once they open. Sadly, it was at that 10am confirmation call, by which time you were already on the bus, that we were notified the venue was fully booked for lunch. With no time to cancel, we called every venue on the mountain that morning. The Irish Pub, which our drivers genuinely love and often recommend, was the only one able to fit us in at such short notice. All of our tours booked in advance went ahead with the full experience as expected – it was only the three last-minute bookings (including yours) that we couldn’t accommodate at our usual lunch spots due to capacity limits. That said, we ensured that all tastings, lunch, and the full touring experience still went ahead, and we genuinely did everything possible to create a great day out for you. Tamborine Mountain has never been that busy before on Mother’s Day in the 10 years that we have been operating, and it was an important learning moment for us. For future reference, we always recommend booking in advance for special event days like Mother’s Day to avoid these issues. On regular days, last-minute bookings are rarely a problem and we can usually accommodate changes on the fly. We’d love to invite you back and ensure you get to experience the venues that you missed out on. Please get in touch with our team and we’ll arrange this on your return visit.

Tour of Mount Tamborine winery

A lovely day vision three vineyards on the stunning Mount Tamborine. Each cellar door had a boutique and welcoming vibe. Also enjoyed the different styles on offer. Note we did have to change from a minivan that we picked up at Surfers Paradise once landing at the Mount and then switch back for journey back.

This was such a fun trip. I really enjoyed the wineries especially the first and last one. The food at the last winery was very good along with really nice desserts. Met some really nice people on the trip as well. Overall completely worth it! The guide was fun company too!

Mixed experience

The first two wineries (witches creek and cedar falls) were very nice and the wine tastings were informative. The lunch options at cedar creek were however basic (not gourmet) and we were given only one dessert option, a pavlova, which half the group did not finish because it was too eggy and too sweet. The trip to the final listed winery, the Hamptons, which I was looking forward to (because it looked very attractive in the photos) did not occur and there was no explanation as to why. Instead we were taken to a winery on the main street of Mt Tambourine where we were clearly not expected. The server would not open a fresh bottle of sparkling for the day so we could not try my favourite wine. This felt a bit second rate. Overall I think the tour needs better organisation and attention to detail and guests need to be told step by step what to expect when they board the bus. It was confusing for most passengers because we had guests on board doing a range of activities/ tours. The people on the wine tour and first two wineries were very nice though and it was still a fun day. The driving was also good and I bought some wine.

I wasn’t sure what to expect when I signed up for a wine tour by myself. I ended up in a group of lovely ladies, and we all enjoyed three delicious winery on Tamborine Mountain as well as a yummy lunch. I enjoyed all three wineries and even bought a couple bottles at the third winery, as they had multiple delicious fortified wines that I couldn’t pass up (loved the Revelation Red, the chocolate port, and the bailey’s port, among others). So if you’re a wine lover and you have some free time in Brisbane consider taking this excursion, I really enjoyed it.

Lovely your! From the efficient pick up by Mint and the safe drive up the mountain, to the delish wines and the friendly tour guide, Scottie, and the fabulous connection with other guests, this was a well orchestrated experience. My favorite winery was the Hamptons where we were guided in our wine tasting by a real gem of a human. The food was also delicious. As a solo traveler, the small group size made it easy to make friends. Highly recommend this tour.

Thw drivers were fine but we didn't have the greatest wine tasting experience. The first winery rushes us thru the tasting as if he needed to be elsewhere, the 2nd one offered zero info apart from white blend, trd blend. We're usually big buyers of wine on these trips however went home with nothing.
