It’s a great way to see the Transylvania and learn about the history. Our tour guide, who’s also the owner of the company, was very knowledgeable and passionate about Transylvania. Bran castle is physically demanding.

What a great tour. Claudieu our host was simply excellent. Very knowledgeable and was a mind of information about the castles and monastery. The transportation was real quality, luxury it certainly was. There were 3 others on the tour and they were an absolute delight. It was a real pleasure sharing this trip with them. The castles were all very different but all were amazing. We had plenty of time at each, Claudieu was an excellent guide. A must if you visit Romania (Brasov).

An amazing day trip!! One of the best I’ve ever been on. Originally I had looked at doing the day trip to the castles from Bucharest but all companies were large tour groups with poor aircon (from reviews) I’m so glad I did this trip and I got to see the fabulous Braşov. We got collected from right outside our airBnB. The van was very comfortable and had great aircon!! The castles themselves were great and really worth while to have our own private guide. I saw reviews online for Bran castle not being worth it so I was sceptical about paying the entry but it was great with our own tour guide. The order of the day is very efficient to skip the lines at Peles, with time to have a snack in the cafe beforehand. For lunch we were given the option for different restaurants however the “expensive” restaurant was actually reasonably priced but do be aware the service there was a little slow, but the time given for lunch was sufficient. I wish I had more time in Brasov to do the bear trip with this company as well.

Three best castles all in one day

Had a brilliant time on this tour. Traian was a great guide and took us through each castle personally, sometimes taking us in to areas that larger tours didn't go. Lots of time to see everything and had a delicious lunch at a restaurant in Bran too.

We had such a great time on this tour!!!! We had made a mistake and thought it was a private tour (my fault, not theirs!) when we booked it and at first we were concerned, but now we are SO happy to have been on this small tour. The guide did such an amazing job of getting the group in and out of places efficiently so that we could get the best photos and make the best use of our time. He took some of our best vacation photos and at every moment was willing and skilled at taking the photos for us! We never have high hopes for the restaurant recommendations on tours, but he absolutely NAILED IT! It was our best meal in Romania after a week there! It was super fun to get to meet our group from places all over the world! Definately a trip highlight for us!!! The best thing about the guide is that when things got very crowded at Bran Castle (because believe me, that's how it is!) he was so adept and firm to protect our group from being overran by others so that we could get our special photos and have some space. It would have been pretty stressful without his guidance and help with the crowds, and he literally 'held space' for us and we apprecaited how he handled those situations so politely and professionally as we would not be so bold as foreign guests in another country. Thank you, thank you, thank you for a one of our favorite days in Romania!!! My husband complimented me at least 20 times for choosing this tour company and tour and nothing in the world could make me happier than that!

This tour is the only tour you need for the castle visits. Tour guide was amazing, they day was excellent. We had time to wander, time for a coffee and we’re taken to an excellent restaurant for lunch. The tour guide was very knowledgeable about all the castles. We had such a great day.

The tour was absolutely amazing! Claudiu was very informative and made sure everything was taken care of. He answered all of our questions and was a delight. We felt comfortable going at our own pace and taking many photos. The van was extremely comfortable; water bottles were provided. Claudiu helped us find a restaurant that fit our dietary restrictions. Everything was perfect and smooth!

Tour was nice, but guide was poor

My friend and I took this tour on 8/6/22. We were the only 2 on the tour which was quite nice. Peles Castle was spectacular and I highly recommend seeing it. The woodwork is amazing! Unfortunately the tour guide Dan, was substandard. He was very knowledgeable and informative but is behavior was unacceptable. At Peles Castle, he was irritated with me for taking pictures. He told me twice, that I could take pictures later. I was not taking a lot of time taking pictures and since there was only 2 of on the tour, I wasn’t slowing the tour down. After the tour, we sat at the cafe to have a cool drink. My friend and I both had a lemonade. Dan had a beer. At the time, that didn’t bother me. But later I was concerned with this. Dan had a thermos with him that shared with some of his friends and acquaintances. At lunch, I found out it was plum brandy. Dan had 3 capfuls of the brandy with his friends along the way. He also had a glass of wine at lunch. He also frequently texted while driving. This behavior was inappropriate and dangerous. I should’ve said something to him, but since he had already expressed his irritation with me, unfortunately I didn’t say anything. Dan discouraged us from visiting Bran Castle. We were actually ok with not going inside, but when I asked him to stop so that I could take a picture of the exterior, he again expressed his irritation with me. Dan did not take us to Rasnov Fortress. He didn’t mention that he wasn’t taking us there. Instead, he took us to the top of a mountain with a spectacular view of the Carpathians. This was a nice surprise, but apparently he made this choice instead of taking us to Rasnov Fortress without giving us a choice. At the time, I thought this was a normal part of the tour, not realizing that we’d miss the Fortress. While stopped on the mountain, Dan walked about 30 yards away from the car and made a 15-20 minute phone call. We were still not aware that we weren’t going to see the Fortress, but by this time I was disgusted and just wanted the tour to end. My friend is 81 and due to the extreme heat and stairs, she needed assistance walking. So on a positive note, Dan was very solicitous with her and I was very thankful for that. I would recommend the tour, but I think Viator should sever their contract with Dan.

Hello, First of all I what to apologise for your negative experience, Dan is my employee and I was as shocked as you when I saw the review. His behaviour is unacceptable and after confirming with several people the events of that day he was fired from my company and was furthermore reported to the guide association for his behaviour. He has recently hired be my and came with no previous complaints but I want to thank you for bringing this up as it saved other customers and my company from further negative experiences . I am truly sorry for your experience and the situation but rest ashore that the situation was take care of. As the owner of the company I have ZERO tolerance for such behaviour I try to provide the very best experience as previous review show and if you ever return to Romania I hope you find it in you to contact me and I will make sure you will be properly taken care of free of charge.

We did the above tour with Claudiu and were very impressed with this. He picked us up on time making arrangements the night before as our pick up had to be changed to the main road as the hotel was on a no car area. They tour was amazing. Claudiu was very knowledgeable in every area we asked questions in. We found him professional and have no complaints at all. Would highly recommend this tour.

We had a great time with Traian. He's not only reliable and knowledgeable, but also super flexible with our itinerary. When we wanted to take a random snack break or spend more time in the markets around Bran Castle, he was always patient/obliging and let us know how much time we could take in order to timely visit all the sites. His main priority was for us to enjoy our time. We also appreciated getting the VIP treatment and cutting the lines to purchase tickets or visit certain rooms (especially in Peles Castle). We opted to skip the monastery and, at the end, he brought us to a resort with a view of the mountains to have a delicious local meal. On top of all this, when we were leaving for Bucharest the next morning and missed the train (with the next train being sold out), we called up Traian at the last minute and he was able to arrange transport for us at a reasonable cost. Truly a great guy (and guide)!
