Quite the experience!! Our driver was a bit tough to find, but once we got together we were on our way.
Overall a unique, family experience. Would recommend to others that are looking for an “off the beaten path” experience where you’re in the countryside away from it all. We felt very welcome and cared for the entire time.

Despite the sweltering heat, the experience was nothing short of delightful! We had the opportunity to explore a charming little village, where we savored a mouthwatering meal that was expertly prepared. The highlight, however, was witnessing the talented women of the town skillfully handcraft beautiful rugs, a true testament to their artistry and dedication.

This is a great way to see the landscape of Bodrum. You get a good idea of the topography as you get driven to the Turkish village. It’s a cultural immersion once you arrive. The guide walks you through the streets and you learn about their way of life. Lunch is delicious. Tour of their mosque was an unexpected bonus. Great trip.

Absolutely fantastic. Tony was our tour guide, and he was just brilliant at explaining all about the village and the history. The highlight of our trip was seeing how they make beautiful quality rugs. They served a wonderful dinner, coffee was divine. Would recommend this trip to anyone and everyone. Thank you.

A great tour of local village life. Pick up was on time with nice car. Tony shared with us the everyday life of their community. Living off the land. Growing and processing the wheat, vegetables and raising cattle and chicken. Visited the mosque . Learned how the yarns are dyed and made into Turkish rugs . Wonderful lunch and good homemade wine.

I had a great day, with my private tour guide, Engin, who's a local guide. I learnt a lot about everyday life by local people. Engin is very experienced, friendly, and very professional. I was treated as one of the average villagers, in a small town of four hundred population. I recommend this tour to everyone.

I had a great experience at the Tours, I got dropped off at the village and the people there are extremely nice and friendly, it was such a good experience away from the city, and the countryside is absolutely beautiful. The food was amazing. 🩷👍🏻

This a really good way to experience life of local Turkish people and life. We're good and fresh food. Guide spoke very good English. Highly recommended!

Our guide spoke very good English.
There was supposed to be another couple but unexpectedly we had a private your. We drove in a lovely vehicle to a quiet old fashioned village- such a treat after so much tourism in Bodrum.
We saw a small village mosques. A tug weaving demonstration, and de died to buy a carpet.no pressure, good price.
The lunch was terrific- about arose. Small dishes of salads and breads and chicken and beverages in surprisingly good local wines.
They dropped us off at the castle and we toured the archeological museum and walked back to the ship. One if the best days on our cruise.

One of the best tours I have done. The family/staff were lovely. There was a genuine care to support the work of the women in the village and ensure the guests are treated with respect. The food was so tasty. Yes, there is a sales aspect but it is their livelihood. It wasn’t pushy or uncomfortable

Wonderful driver in a beautiful van to the village. This was an off the beaten path way to see a beautiful village, including the animals, a visit inside a local house where they showed such hospitality, how they make carpets, with a delicious Turkish meal following. There was a sales pitch for the carpets at the end, but they were not overly aggressive and very gracious when we decided not to buy anything (though I was very tempted to).

Traveling to a village, touring it with someone familiar with the family and meeting the family members ..three generations..in the old home, in their business and at the lunch table was unique. The vast differences between our cultures were obvious, though the shared company and appreciation for individuals’ talents bonded us well.

The drive to the village was about 30+ minutes and on a narrow road with hairpin turns. But the village was wonderful. Watching a lady make carpets and the lunch includes was great!!!

hi,
thanks for your review for us on tripadvisor.
see you next year in bodrum again with your family and friends..

The operator was overbooked and overwhelmed. The driver guide did not speak English and, therefore, said nothing on entire 40 minute ride to the village. Others with similar private tours said their drivers pointed out highlights along the route. Village guide also inexperienced. Very nice and earnest, but not well prepared. We partially overheard other groups that were given much more depth and information. Overall mediocre.

This was a private tour at group tour rates. We were picked up at the port and drove about 35 minutes to the village. If you want to experience what life is like in a Turkish rural village and enjoy great food, this tour should not be missed. Our personal guide showed how people still live today in a village of 400 people that has been there for many generations. Walking through the village and visiting in their homes was something you do not want to miss. The lunch was included for the reasonable price and was a selection of 9 different dishes and all were great with two different breads. There was a rug demonstration but no pressure to purchase. We cannot say enough good things about this activity and we were very pleased and I know you will be too.

The Private Bodrum Village Tour was phenomenal. I highly recommend to anyone interested in an authentic experience. This tour offered an opportunity to witness traditional rugmaking first hand, enjoy a Turkish meal (very tasty) and visit a local Bodrum village. The tour hosts were extremely friendly and hospitable. Well worth every penny.

The Village and the life within the Village was lovely. The people were warm and welcoming. The provided lunch was “over the top, delicious.”
If you should have any reservations of learning about the intricate details inside a mosque or viewing Turkish rugs to “buy” then you should say so in the beginning of this tour. The opportunity to meet the eldest (89 years young) woman in the Village, of 400 people, who graciously opened her home to us was an unexpected BONUS.
