Private tours are a great way to visit the sights of Beppu. For less than what we would have paid to do a bus tour shore excursion from our cruise ship, we had a private English-speaking tour guide (Ayu) who could answer any questions we had about what we were seeing and life in Oita Prefecture. Since we moved at our own pace, not only were we able to see all seven of the “Hells of Beppu,” we also got to steam a snack in a hot springs restaurant, visit a monkey park and have a delicious meal of local noodles and mochi. Plus, the guide took photos of us with her own camera and sent them to us later.
I highly recommend this experience for anyone who is tired of big bus tours and likes personalized touring.

Kei was a wonderful tour guide. He took us to to eat at a small diner with great food. The vehicle was clean and very comfortable. We wanted to have a personal experience and my family enjoy our time in Beppu . Got to see hell and a few other places. We had a great time if you want a one on one personal experience go with Kei.

Our tour guide, Ayu, was great! We were able to see all the Hell holes, do some shopping and enjoy a great lunch with her guidance. Ayu is personable, warm and attentive.
