Super fun and informative! Abel, our tour guide, was friendly, helpful, and professional. We really enjoyed the road trip through the outskirts of Belize City to see the Mayan ruin! Lunch was delicious, and tubing through the caves was an amazing experience. Abel was patient, thoughtful, and sensitive to the needs of each person in the tour group! I highly recommend this day tour!

Altun Ha Mayan Temples and Cave Tubing Paradise with lunch was an amazing experience.
Our guide, Luis, was incredibly knowledgeable and fun. He shared insights on everything from economics and history to geography and local lifestyle — you just had to ask.
We kicked off the tour at Altun Ha Mayan Temple, a site rich with history and meaning. After that, Luis took us to a secluded, hidden-gem restaurant run by a lovely woman with a warm smile and great energy. The food was delicious.
Next, we headed to the cave tubing spot for another highlight: floating through a pitch-black section of the cave, then drifting down a beautiful lazy river while birds chirped around us.
Amazing day from start to finish. Luis was the #1 host. Highly recommend!

Nelson was a nice and informative driver and guide of the temples. He passes us off to Eric for the cave tubing and he was so nice and informative as well and I felt so safe with him. We had a great time! I’m not a fit person but this was great. The tubes were waiting at the cave entrance for us and the walk there was leisurely and flat! Loved it!

I would give TEN stars if I was able to. The communication, friendliness, patience, empathy, expertise, and for someone to go away above and beyond for us happened even before I booked the trip. I had actually booked this activity for my whole family with another tour company. But, when I reached out to ask for the exact address for the meeting place the phone number was either not correct or was not clear and how to contact them and the only way to contact them was through email which I did not get a quick reply. I finally had to go through their call center and spoke to two agents who didn’t know the meeting place address either and finally had to reach out to the tour guide for this information. The guide finally responded to my email with an address that was still not clear so I decided to look for a similar activity from another tour company and that’s when we were connected with Luis at Cave Paradise. He responded right away with information about the activity. I told him I was looking for a full day of 2-3 activities, which he said he could accommodate. He even answered my questions about everything that was included in the activity. When I asked him if we had to get shuttled into Belize city because we were already in the jungle, he said no I would be happy to come and pick you up at your lodge and save you the trip, which many other tour companies did not even offer. So I canceled with the first tour company and scheduled it with Paradise Cave. Then I received news after I booked the activity and found out that my passport was not going to arrive on time before our flight. That was very upsetting news for my entire family. We had no other choice than to send my family ahead without me and we were all devastated and hoping that my passport would come in the following day. Luis had already texted me very quickly to all my questions and was just so great and answering all but I had to tell him the news of me not attending the activity that was scheduled for Tuesday because I wasn’t sure I would arrive either Monday or Tuesday. So I had to cancel the activity and reschedule it without me and for just my family. I think I was so upset about the situation. I booked the activity incorrectly for the wrong day. Luis texted me right back and told me what I had done and I was so upset about that because nothing seemed to be going right for me and he just calmed me down and said everything will be all right. Don’t worry about it. The trip can still continue as planned. I happen to mention to him that if I came in Tuesday night that we still had half a day on Wednesday before we had to arrive at the airport for our next vacation leg and with that information, he said well why don’t we just change the tour for Wednesday? I can still pick you up do all the activities and then drive you to the airport and drive you to the airport in time for your flight. Oh my gosh, that was such a relief. It was so nice. He really wanted me to participate in the activity with my family, which was just so sweet of him going above and beyond and trying to make things work for our trip. The next day I was so happy because I found out that my passport got in on time that I was gonna be able to fly out on Monday so I could still do the activity so I told Luis I would go ahead and add me to the booking. I couldn’t change my family‘s booking already so I was just gonna purchase one more ticket for myself. But unfortunately, it would only let you purchase a minimum of two people. Again, he told me not to worry he would work it out and I could pay on the day of the activity again, Luis just being so patient, so kind, so empathetic of my situation and really trying to help me have peace of mind that he would take care of us and everything would be great and it would all work out and it did. I got into town. I was there for the activity as planned, he showed up at the front of our lodge. It was so great to meet him. He was very knowledgeable at the Belize zoo that we went to. We went to have a fantastic Belizian lunch and then we went to the Mayan ruins. He told us all about that even on the drive there he told us some of the history about Belize. He told us about himself and his family and it was just very pleasant. He was just very very nice. I mean just like we had known him forever. We got done with activity. He took us dropped us off at the airport and everything was just like he promised, and it worked out great. He was the most wonderful and friendliest people I’ve ever met and just so accommodating to all our needs. You don’t meet a lot of people that care that much about making people and families happy. So, if you are in Belize and want to do a tour with Paradise Cave ask for Luis, you definitely will not be disappointed because he goes above and beyond to make everything great and make everybody happy. Our driver and guide for the ruins and part of our tubing was Eric. He was very entertaining and accommodating
Explained the history of the ruins and even on the ride through the villages of Belize city. Our river tubing guide Enrique was also very accommodating to a more relaxed pace for my 75 year old mother..and let's be honest, also me (37). The hike was about 30 to 45 minutes, brief moments in the sun but mostly under shaded canopy from the trees. You do some mellow river crossings so make sure your shoes are not simple water shoes, you need one with good soles. So many different types of plants and trees to learn about. If you look down while walking, you see little cutter ants transporting their leave back to their colonies ever few feet. We then stopped for lunch and had a delicious belizian chicken stew meal and headed back to San Pedro

Hands down tge best excursion from our cruise! Abel was attentive and knowledgeable. He worked hard to time everything to get us back to ship with plenty of time. Soooo much better than taking ship tours with a 100 of your closest friends! Because our ship had different timing than others in port, ours became a private excursion. Altun Ha was really amazing . But have to say the cave tubing was definitely a highlight! Lunch at a small local restaurant was really good as well. I would definitely recommend this to all my family and friends!

Great tour! Erick & Luis were great tour guides. Picked us up from the water taxi and took us to the Temples first then the Cave Tubing. We were there early so the temples weren’t packed at all so made for great photos. The cruise to the caves was nice and pleasant the ac in the van was very comfortable. Heads up good photo op to get a photo of the sleeping giant mountains on the way to the cave tubing just be ready to snap a photo from the car. The lunch was delicious Belizean stewed chicken with rice and beans. The side of pickled onions is spicy but delicious if you like hot stuff. The cave tubing was great. It’s about a 30 min beautiful walk. The water is nice refreshing and cold.

We thought we would be shuffled in with 20 other people off the tour boat, but had what turned out to be a private tour with an excellent guide named Abel. He arranged it so we did not have to drag our tubes a mile to the cave opening. He was very knowledgeable about the Belizian culture, politics, and flora and fauna.

Such a wonderful day! We were picked up at the water taxi and headed out with Nelson. It was a small group tour so the experience was relaxing and not rushed at all. We started at the ruins and learned so many interesting facts. Then we headed to lunch at a local spot where the food was delicious. They even had a vegetarian option for me. Afterwards, we headed to the cave tubing which was epic! We were dropped off at our hotel in Belize City. 10/10 recommend!

Nelson was awesome, we had such a great time. A very informative and intimate tour. We learned a lot and laughed a lot. Even though we didn’t have music, we had a great conversation and learned a lot about Nelson’s family and the country. We were able to see the archeological sites and the cave tubing was so relaxing and beautiful. One of the best days of our trip after the snorkeling! We will definitely be back to see more of Belize and reach out to Luis and Nelson for another amazing experience. Luis is amazing! He gave us lots of history throughout the different towns and he made sure we never felt rushed. We also loved his humor and tips for the best day ever.
Prior to the experience, I reached out serval times with questions and concerns and Luis was prompt with responding and reassuring each time. This helped my family and I prepare for a great experience for our excursions.

Luis was incredible and knowledgeable. Our trip was changed slightly due to rain (tubing portion). Luis changed the trip slightly but continued to make the experience worthwhile. Would absolutely do this again!

I can’t say enough positive things about this experience. Luis was fantastic, from pickup to drop off. He had a smile when he greeted my family. His van was clean and comfortable.
There wasn’t one fact he didn’t know about Belize during our drive, so interesting. His knowledge of Altun Ha is incredible, like listening to a historian. When we arrived at the caves, Victor was our guide. He was just as friendly as Luis and extremely knowledgeable about the Mayan’s and their use of the caves. The best part of all was lunch at SUNGEM restaurant. Authentic Belizian fare, fantastic atmosphere. I highly recommend this tour to anyone looking for an AMAZING day!

This excursion was absolutely amazing. Luis is an incredible tour guide. He picked us up on time and we were the only 2 booked for the day. He treated us like family. Luis was very knowledgeable of the Mayan Ruins and we learned alot. He took great pictures of us on top of the ruins and got all of my good angles . We stopped for lunch and that was great as well. After lunch, we went cave tubing and his brother Able took us on that part. Able was amazing and very knowledgeable. He explained everything as we were walking to the river that it didn't even seem like it was 30 min walk. Cave tubing was great. It was very relaxing and a learning experience at the same time. I would recommend booking with Luis to anyone wanting to go on this excursion

Nelson was a terrific guide. We were part of a group larger than 7 so we were given our own guide for cave tubing. He was excellent and knowledgeable. He loved his work and made us feel very comfortable and confident.
We were the first to bring a service dog cave tubing, it was a perfect. Everyone was so helpful.
It was a chance to let our working dog be a dog after several days on planes and cooped up on a ship. He was absolutely beaming exploring the jungle and getting to tube in the refreshing water. Nothing could have been better.
I would recommend this company to anyone wanting to sample Belize.
For those who do have a service animal, this is the only operator in Belize that I could find that was willing to tackle a new frontier for Belize. Try them out if you’d like to give your working dog a time of their lives. They are the best to work with.

First, this experience was awesome! Make sure to have water shoes. Definitely no flip flops! This can be enjoyed even on a rainy day.
Pablo, our guide, and Charbel, our driver, were both friendly, knowledgeable, professional, and fun! Since it was a rainy day we were the only 4 on the excursion and the rain didn't affect our enjoyment of the trip at all. The cave tubing was exilerating and fun (also refreshing). The lunch was great and we had homemade ice cream afterwards. Pablo was very informative when taking us around Altun Ha and answered all of our questions.
I would highly recommend this tour! Well worth the price!

We had a great experience. We took the water taxi from San Pedro, which was not part of this trip, but they picked us up right at the port as we got off our boat in Belize city. The tour guide was very knowledgeable about the area. The transportation was clean and the lunch at a local restaurant was delicious. Would definitely recommend.

Amazing experience that Im so glad me and my Auntie decided to do. Luis, our tour guide, was great. Very knowledgeable and very professional. I lost my phone in the river and he went out of his way to make sure it was found. He was so nice and helpful. The bugs did eat me up so bring bug spray. Other than that, the lunch was good and we had a great time.

Eric was a great guide. Picked us up right on time. We shared this tour with 9 others so the van was a bit crowded. But we all got along great. Van was a little tired, but the AC worked just well enough. This was not a luxury tour, but it was VERY authentic and seemed like a great was to see the country.
LOTS of driving, but got to see a lot of the country. The ruins were interesting (seriously, bring bug spray) but not an overwhelmingly great experience. Coming from someone who LOVES ancient ruins. Maybe for an archeologist.
The highlight was the tubing. The caves were one of the coolest things I’ve ever seen. Lots of formations and beautiful clear cool water. Good equipment. Need a water proof phone case and water shoes, but they rent/sell both.
The lunch was at a small local place with stewed chicken and rice and beans. Very good. Other food avail for purchase.
Lots of opportunities to buy local art, souvenirs etc. Our group wanted to stop at several places (like….. a lot) but Eric accommodated every request to stop for mangoes, beer, toiletries, drinks, beer, tamales etc.
I feel he really went out of his way to be helpful, even suggesting some good restaurants open on a Sunday. Sunday is a good day to take this tour as the crowds were non-existent. It was a LONG full day mostly driving but I feel the value was well worth the cost.

Let’s cut to the chase, this was a FANTASTIC tour!
It started with our tour guide, Luis, picking us up from our hotel and driving straight to Altun Ha Mayan Ruins. He offered to stop for coffee but we were already so excited to start our day. Luis walked us around the Mayan ruins providing excellent information on the history of Belize and the Mayans. From there he drove us to the cave tubing site where we met our next guide, Junior. Junior, just like Luis, gave us another great tour of the caves while tubing down the rivers. After that, Luis took us to a local bar for a wonderful lunch before dropping us off at our hotel.
I want to emphasize that Luis and Junior exceeded our expectations in every way. Luis was very personable, gave great recommendations, and had cold waters ready to cool us down.
