John was a delightful guide, sharing the history of Northern Ireland, Belfast and even his personal stories of growing up here! He tailored our tour, so we could experience everything on our “must see” list. He took the Causeway Coastal Route stopping at the perfect location to view the Carrick-a-Rede Rope Bridge (we did not care to cross it, 30 m above sea level). After that John took us to the Giant’s Causeway, where amazing land formations abound. We enjoyed walking around exploring the causeway at our leisure. A quick stop at Dunluce Castle was next. Lastly John surprised us by taking us to the hidden gem, Ballintoy Harbour (not accessible by bus). Scenes from Game of Thrones were filmed at this breathtaking harbour. It was the perfect day! Thank you so much John!

Hiring a private tour guide/driver is an excellent idea especially you are with a group. You can easily modify your itinerary and work with the driver, in addition, it doesn’t cost more compared with joining cruise excursion. Thomas is an excellent driver, he drives safe and provides us options to stop extra attractions. He took care of us very well, making sure there are restrooms available along our journey. He shared his experience and stories when his family traveled. Very relaxed experience.

Nice guide and a fun day. Was disappointed that the castle was closed due to a wedding and the museum was closed due to a gov. Holiday. Did walk around outside and that was nice.
Mark_A, Jul 2025
Our guide, Matt, was fabulous. Very knowledgeable and made sure our needs were met. We requested an additional place to see and he had no problem adding it
Jennifer_J, Jul 2025
John was an excellent guide and gave us lots of interesting information during the drive . We loved the Rope Bridge . Highly recommend doing a private tour .
Leesa_H, Jul 2025
Great day outside of Belfast. The rope bridge and Giant’s Causeway were highlights. Our Driver Jordan was fantastic. He was very knowledgeable and accommodating. He found a wonderful spot for lunch for our group.
Robin_S, Jul 2025
John was an amazing driver. His vehicle was immaculate and he was very responsive to every need or want on our tour. He made our day in Northern Ireland special and memorable. Door to door service from our cruise ship made it all so very easy.

Tommy was the best driver ever he gave us the full Northern Ireland experience. He took us to pubs. He took us to see the causeway. He took me to Portrush. I couldn’t ask that man to do me anything more than what he did. He was probably one of the greatest drivers I had in Ireland well, he was my only driver

We had a stop in Cobh with our cruise line and opted for a private tour over the large group tours offered through the cruise line. We had a wonderful time- Robin was terrific and was such a great guide. We saw many other things local to the area- highly recommend.

John made our day so special & went out of his way to make sure we accomplished what we had hoped to accomplish

Thomas was very knowledgeable, prefessional and made sure we got to experience as much of northern Ireland within our allotted time. He made us feel like we were traveling with a friend. We were extremely happy with our itinerary and I would definitely recommend this tour.

Ryan was the perfect driver for this tour of Northern Ireland. Not only did we learn about the history of Northern Ireland but the sights were amazing. He was very flexible and catered to our needs and what we wanted to see. I highly recommend Ryan. He was extremely knowledgeable and such a pleasure to spend the day with
Carol_S, Apr 2025
Alan adjusted the day to fit our needs in terms of amount of time walking involved but still got us close enough to see the sights! Great recommendation for lunch! Beautiful scenery and historic places.
Response from Host, May 2025

We had a great day with our guide Mark. He was waiting for us when we got off the ship and took us to all the sites mentioned in the tour as well as others along our travels. He was very informative and even shared personal experiences that helped us understand the history of the area. Definitely one of our best tours on this trip. Highly recommended.

Although it was a rainy and low visibility day, Matt did an excellent job of showing us around. In addition to spending time at the Giant’s Causeway, we saw a couple of sites used in Game of Thrones, including the “King’s Road.” We also viewed some castle ruins and saw lots of the countryside. He provided some snacks for us in the car, provided great background info (including a good audio recording of the legend around the creation of the Giants Causeway). This tour packs a lot into a day.

Our tour with Jordan was fantastic! He drove us from Belfast to all the places we asked. He was professional, but funny. He gave us great background information on the things we went to see, and he took us to a restaurant that had some of the best seafood I have ever had!
We had a great day with some great laughs!
Pamela_M, Jul 2024
Matt was extremely knowledgeable, funny and filled with interesting facts. Took us where we wanted to go with special attention to the city centre
Don_B, Jul 2024
Jordan did a great job taking us around and showing us the beautiful sites of Northern Ireland. As an added bonus, he showed us the peace wall and CS Lewis square.
Haley_S, Jun 2024
Tommy was the best! Very professional yet very fun. We saw a lot and he was flexible with things as well. It was a great trip to see quite a bit of the causeway coast.

Prior to the tour, we exchanged several emails to discuss how to structure our tour. We reviewed itinerary options and were given the name of our guide, who would help us and provide information. On the day of the tour, we were picked up by someone other than the person previously named. Michael was a very nice gentleman, who was willing to work with us and get us where we wanted to be. However, he was not very much of a guide. For example, when we were driving to the Giant's Causeway, we thought we might get some explanation about the site and some history or interesting facts. Similarly, when we were taken to Dunluce Castle, we received no information about the site. Our driver was polite, punctual, and attentive, but we were expecting more of a tour guide and not just a driver. Another suggestion for the tour operator would be to have some sort of speaker system in the vehicle. On the few occasions when our driver made comment, the passengers in the back of the vehicle could not hear him.
Response from Host, Jun 2024
Hi Grant
I did message you on 14th May to let you know your change of driver, updating you with his name, contact cell number, you did state that you wished to be back in Belfast for 2.30pm to visit the Titanic Museum so you wouldn’t have been able to experience the full day up at the Causeway. Michael would have been very happy to answer any of your questions, I’m sure he would have explained to you the places you were visiting anyway
We have not had a problem in the past with clients not being able to hear the guide in the past, that is why we offer small groups of no more than six people so that we don’t have that problem that you may get in a larger vehicle
Kind Regards
Adam

Lee was he was very knowledgeable about the history of Belfast and looked after us during our excursion. Would definitely recommend
Vickie_I, May 2024
We were somewhat disappointed with this tour. The majority of the stops were just drive bys and you could not go in the actual attractions because they were not open yet. Driver was very stern about his policies. We just felt he was not very friendly. We stopped for lunch and brought it with us. Unfortunately, someone on our tour got fish and he did not approve. He was very rude to them about it. He could have been more clear with instructions. He made us all feel very uncomfortable.
Response from Host, Jun 2024
Hi Vickie
I discussed this with your driver Brian on the day as he had let me there was a problem, as we provide a top end Luxury Tour with Luxury vehicles, we have a strict policy of no food in them, Brian did say that he would allow you to have food (I believe you had asked if you could bring sandwiches back), some of your group came back with fish and chips, this is a definite no, as the smell would linger long after you had finished, and would not be nice for the next clients getting in the vehicle over the next couple of days
You did book your tour to start at 07.30, a lot of the places would not have opened until 09.00 at the earliest, so Brian can’t help that, I’m sure he did show you the main attractions up at the Giants Causeway, as they would have been open when you reached there
Kind Regards
Adam

Brian was really friendly and helpful. his tour included great views, a little history, and a lot of
blarney. It was really fun.
Bryan_D, May 2024
Thomas was personable and informative about all of the sties we visited. We were able to enjoy things at our own pace. It was good to be able to enjoy walks at the different sites to counter balance the car ride.
ghk2286, Oct 2023
I found the guide who took us was a driver more than a guide- I believe he said he was a carpenter by trade. He was not versed in history or interesting facts about where he took us. If you book and pay for a guide, you should get a professional tour guide rather than just a driver.
Response from Host, Oct 2023
Hi
I'm not sure which tour you took or what day it was, so I can't look into this for you, as your name doesn't coincide with any of the bookings we have provided (it may even not be one of our tours)
I can only reply in a general way, our drivers are all experienced tour guides with years of knowledge of the local attractions here in Northern Ireland
In reference to you saying he was a carpenter by trade, yes I would say all of our drivers would have had previous trades before coming into the Chauffeur/Tour Guide industry, but that should not reflect on the driver
If you can provide me with more details of your experience to see if it was one of our tours, I would gladly look into this further
Kind Regards
Adam
