Our experience was lovely from start to finish! Anna communicated how to get train and picked us up with smiles 😊 They accommodated vegetarian with ease! We had three generations of family and Anna, Tyler and Cole kept us all entertained with cooking and we learned so much from Anna who is wonderful! 🥰 We ended our day with a short hike recommended and time in the village! We would highly recommend this tour for anyone who wants to learn more about Bavarian culture and cooking! This was the highlight of our adolescent boys trip if this says anything 😉

Anna is bright and gracious. She was full of knowledge and a wonderful hostess. We have made schnitzel many times before but never like this-wow! Cooking these meals at home as she taught us is the best souvenir we could imagine.

    Highlight of our trip

This was one of the coolest experiences of all my travels. It was perfect from start to finish. The train ride from Munich was beautiful and very easy (for Americans who may be intimidated by public transport). Tyler was there to greet us at the station and it was a short drive to the most adorable house with a gorgeous Mountain View. We were greeted by the sweet and wonderful Anna and with fresh cappuccino. Anna was a wonderful teacher and knows so much about not only Bavarian food but culture. We can’t wait to try these recipes at home with the adorable recipe cards she gave us. You have to book this one!

    Highly recommend; Anna is great!

This experience was awesome. Anna was so great and inviting. Her communication was excellent on planning to get to Oberaudorf and it was well worth the one hour train ride from Munich. We had an excellent time and we cannot recommend highly enough. They picked us up at the train station and it was a 5 minute drive to their house. Top notch and great immersive experience.

    Shnitzel + Shnapps!

We had a great day making authentic Bavarian food and learning from Anna, who was taught by her Oma. Anna & Tyler were very welcoming, their house was lovely, the class was fun, and the views of the migraines were very peaceful and scenic. Afterwards, we added on a summer toboggan ride (short walk from their house) which was the cherry on top of a fun day! Overall, this was one of our favorite days of our week in Germany.

Servus Kristen, Thank you so much for your visit and kind review. we had a pleasure hosting you and your Family and are very grateful. Wishing you the Best! Prost & Guade Vibes ;) P.S. Kristen wrote us to say she could not correct the autocorrect Migraines to Mountains but what was meant was the views of the mountains ;). Thanks again Kristen!

An educational day trip from Munich

This was one of the best things I’ve done in all my travels to Munich. This is a hands-on class, you don’t just watch, so you really know how to make schnitzel and other items. The trip to Oberaudorf was simple (no change of trains) and you’re met at the station. Two tips: 1. sit in the front two coaches when departing Munich as the train might “split” into two trains in Rothenburg. 2. Walk back to the Train station after the class, instead of being driven back, Oberaudorf is a cute little town (village) and is worth taking the walk back through it. Even if you have zero cooking experience you will enjoy this class.

Our hosts were amazing. Very welcoming and gracious. We received a warm welcome and welcoming drinks. Everything was well organized and prepared for us in advance. Enjoyed taking part in the final preparations and actual cooking. Food was amazing! Lots of good German beer and schnapps after dinner. An experience not to be Missed.

Dave, It was a pleasure hosting you and your family! Hope you had wonderful onward travels and thank you for coming to swing the schnitzel hammer with us in Oberaudorf! We greatly appreciate your business and you were a wonderful group to have back in the kitchen after the last year of lockdowns. We had way to much fun!

Best thing we did in Munich. Anna met us at the train station and drove us to her beautiful home. She made us feel so welcomed. The food was delicious. I highly recommend this cooking class. Thank you Anna.

We had the most outstanding day today, learning Bavarian cooking from this sweet, beautiful Bavarian sweetheart!! I HIGHLY recommend this class! Anna was so kind and knowledgeable while teaching us how her Oma made Schnitzel, potato salad and dessert. Train from Munich took about an hour and she met us at the station and took us to her beautiful home, situated in the Bavarian Alps. After serving us a delicious appetizer and welcome cocktail, we got to work. Very hands on, Anna gave us great directions as we prepared our meal, offering us beer and soft drinks as we cooked. We felt like we were helping to prepare dinner in a friend's home! Following our delicious dinner, we then prepared a wonderful dessert which we enjoyed with coffee and a selection of Schnapps. This was truly the highlight of our trip to Germany!! If you book it, please tell her Donna, Matt, Debbie and Nick from Michigan sent you!!

    Response from Host, Oct 2019

Anna was an amazing hostess and so kind! We cooked within her home and she invited us in with nothing but warmness. She was great to talk with and we made some very delicious food! Well worth the train ride down from Munich.
