Solo traveler due to my son finding better things to do, so I have been booking tours to take the stress out of finding my way around.
For some reason I was heading to a completely wrong train station so had to jump off the train and jump on a moped taxi. I was 40 mins away and Tank ever so kindly waited for me. I was the only one booked on the tour so luckily I hadn’t kept more people waiting. Tank was incredibly knowledgeable and great company. Incredible temples;
so you have to visit the reclining Buddha and the Wat Arun temple is full of beautifully made up girls having their pictures taken in traditional Thai dress which is quite a spectacle along side the stunning temple. Apparently a great photo opp at night so I may have to pop back.

We did this tour shortly after landing in Bangkok. We wanted to see a couple of key sites but keep the tour short. This was perfect. Bonnie was a great guide. She provided good background information to improve our understanding of the temples and their significance. Highly recommend.

The setting was beautiful and our guide was very kind, but his English was poor and so I did not really learn much about the history of the temples. It would have been more efficient if I had visited the sites alone. Nice group.

I booked this with Viator rewards and it cost me $1. I feel I screwed over the company and Surina my guide.
Surina contacted me prior to the tour and let me know where to meet her. I got there and it was a big area so I WhatsApp’d her and she replied immediately and found her within 1 min.
When it says small group, it was really small group. I was the ONLY ONE (for the most part) with Surina and got one on one attention. To say she was incredible is an understatement. She was SPECTACULAR. I love a question and she answered all of them. Her gratitude toward my generosity with donations in the temples and such was outstanding. At one point I think I saw her shed a tear. Anyway, about an hour into the tour she got a call. Her boss said she left four people behind. She was VISIBLY SHAKE . She kept showing me how her schedule only had 1 person for the 10:00 tour but her 3:00 had 4. Then she saw they booked the tour that morning about an hour before the departure time and did not get the notification and she was so upset.
If you see a review how she left people, PLEASE DO NOT DETER YOU AND THINK SHE, or the company, does not care about their guests.
We first went to Wat Arun then to Wat Pho. She showed me EVERYTHING POSSIBLE. In between we stopped for the FRESH COCONUT WATER. They chopped open the coconut and it was great. Then scraped the insides to eat the fresh pulp. I also bought some rose apple to snack on. She wanted to pay for it and I wouldn’t let her. She was insistent but I said no.
We went to Wat Pho and she took me everywhere and knew all the PERFECT places for photos. Also she wouldn’t even let me carry my own bags at times. She said she would so I had my hands free for photos. I had my own tour guide and it was incredible and she was incredible.
While it’s a three hour tour we finished in 2 hours and I think it was because I was solo. I didn’t mind at all. Some would get aggravated they didn’t get “all they paid for” but I did and then some.
At the end she took me shopping since we still had time. She showed me good shops and helped me bargain for some awesome souvenirs. She also recommended some awesome restaurants to have a snack. At the end I tipped her and she would not accept my entire tip. I was insistent but she still only took a portion of it. She did so much for me and she should know how much I appreciated her.
I would 1000x book this tour again if I knew she would be my guide. I’m trying to convince friends to change our NYE trip from Cambodia to Bangkok again and if I do I’ll reach out to Sarina to give us another tour.

What a wonderful tour of Wat Pho & Wat Arun. I took the 3pm tour, and the weather was around 35c (95f) and sunny, with a wonderful tour guide named Sun.
What to expect on the tour:
First, you will meet at a very easy to find location, nearby Wat Pho, and you will begin the tour. You provide the tour guide with cash for the entrance fees for both areas (500baht total) and they will go and buy the ticket for you. After you enter Wat Pho, you begin the guided tour.
At Wat Pho, the tour guide will stop at important locations throughout the palace, giving history and pointing out significant architectural motifs. We spent about an hour and a half walking around Wat Pho, with about half of that time being free time to roam around ourself.
To get to Wat Arun, you must cross the river, the tour guide makes this a seamless experience by buying the boat ticket (included in trip cost), and guiding you onto the boat, for a quick 2 minute ride across the Chao Praya.
At Wat Arun, the tour guide will give a brief history lesson about the palace, and then allow you to explore it and to take as many photos as you'd like. The steps are quite steep at this palace, with no handrails to help you up.
Our tour guide, Sun, was very knowledgeable, funny, and overall made it a very good experience for our whole tour group. She's open to answering any questions, and you can tell she does the job because she likes sharing the history and culture of Thailand.
Important to note: the heat & sun of Bangkok is unavoidable, so bring water with you. Also, there is a dress code for the temples (women must have their knees and shoulders covered, men can wear shorts). Also, to enter some of the temples you must take off your shoes and walk around either barefoot or in socks. I recommend taking the 3pm tour, as this allows you to miss the midday sun, and also get to see the sunset. I'd highly recommend this tour!

Would’ve been better to visit these on my own. The tour guide didn’t manage time very well, and other tourists had us waiting for them. Additionally, the tour guide’s English was difficult to understand at times. Overall, recommend visiting these temples but the tour wasn’t necessary!

Nancy was a super funny and charismatic guide. Her colleague kindly took a few pictures of us as well. However the explanations were minimal (Wat Arun had less than 5 minutes of explanation and we were told to walk around on our own for 30 mins), the tour only lasted 2 hours and we were forcefully asked to leave a review at the end. I suspect this is the reason for the many 5stars. This tour could easily have been done on our own with a little help from wikipedia.

The tour was great! Our tour guide Jack was very friendly and helpful. He also told how us get to our next destination. The tour was very chilled and we had time to take enough photos. If you are going, be prepared, your legs are going to hurt a bit. We went on to the last tour and even thought we didnt get to come in into all of the temples (some of the smaller ones start closing around 17:00 (5 p.m.)) it was totally okay, you get access to enough of them - but the good thing was, that it wasn't so hot anymore and it wasn't so full of tourists. So definitely recommend 💪. Also very excited to have met new friends that were part of our group!
