We really enjoyed the day trip to Ayutthaya. We saw the main areas of the former capital, visited an old temple, and learned a lot about Thai history and culture. Our guide Jida was very knowledgeable and hospitable.

Ayutthaya Private Adventure

Our private tour of Ayutthaya, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, was a great experience. Our guide, Rose, was very informative, attentive, and sensitive to our needs. She and our driver, showed up at our hotel on time and made the need to get from one place to another with ease. Rose also introduced us to various traditional snacks of the region. If you can afford it, going "private" is the way to go.

We started early in the morning, so we had great, unobstructed views of everything. Our guide, Yui, was so made the drive up so fun and was very knowledgeable about all the sites. Her lunch pick was also fantastic - the local restaurant was delicious.

Had a great experience with Meow on a private tour. She tailored it to our family as we needed. We traveled with a 6 year, 3 year, and 1 year old. She was very knowledgeable and took us to see the highlights. Lunch was a great local lunch with great views.

Our private tour was great! Our tour guide - Mr. Keng was knowledgeable and friendly. Our driver was nice as well (Mr. Pom? I think.). The van was clean, and it smelled fresh. There were different ruins that we visited, and it was a great experience even though it was extremely hot. I recommend this private tour if you're the type that doesn't like to be rushed. If you like to take your time enjoying the scenery, taking pictures, shopping and trying the delicacies, this is for you. Most of all, I like it because we got to experience the elephant ride.

Mischa brought ancient Thailand alive with her stories of the enormous complex of temples at Ayutthaya. So many kings, so much history and never a boring moment as she told us of kings, queens, consorts, many children and the extra-ordinary tension this all brings. This is all overlaid with Buddhism, prayer, and the customs of monks.

I canceled, rebooked and changed the date and paid in June but the tour operator still managed to mess it up and miss my amended and scheduled date. Luckily, I called the day before my activity and it seemed like they then scrambled to correct it because I was told to call them back. On the day of the activity, the tour operator called that the driver would be late and would pick us up between 9:30-9:45 AM and also assured us they would extend the tour at around 5 PM. He arrived 9:30ish, however, the tour guide came in earlier. For lunch, there was mention of papaya salad but none of that was served. Only pad thai, fresh spring rolls, and fried fish cakes from a Michelin starred resto. We arrived at our hotel past 3 PM.

Our tour was awesome and even more our tour guide BEN and the driver was more awesome. There were 9 of us and we enjoyed every bit of it from picking us up to driving us back to the hotel. Ben went and beyond as a your guide and accomodated our request that was not in the itenirary like the elephant riding which we enjoyed so much. We visited the temples and Ben was very knowledgeable about its history and knows where the best spot to the a picture. Overall it was a top notch experience and a highly recommended tour while in Bangkok and you will also get lucky if your tour guide would be Ben, she made the difference of the entire experience!

A personalized tour

Mr. Yoo (tour guide) and his girlfriend (driver) drove us to Ayutthya and we visited four temples. We were a bit anxious to travel with a 4 month old infant but they made it so easy and comfortable for us. They were very accomodating to our needs and that of the baby's. All entrance fees and other expenses were included in the tour price. Lunch was at a local restaurant in the town which was delicious. Overall, this tour is highly recommended.
