- Temple Dress: The essential run is to cover your shoulders and knees (both genders), and preferably you would cover your lower legs as well. On the base, wear longer shorts, capris, gasp/pant or a knee-length-or-longer skirt. To finish everything, pick any shirt that completely covers your shoulders. A T-shirt, pullover or polo is fine, while a tank top isn't.

Great tour! My guide was very friendly, knowledgeable, and made the experience enjoyable. She also took fantastic photos throughout the day, which was such a nice bonus. Definitely recommend!
Magical historical experience with a great and knowledgeable tour guide. Loved a more authentic food experience for lunch. Worth the heat of the day.
Kit our guide was super knowledgeable and very flexible. We changed it up a bit and it was handled in stride. Our best meal is the trip was recommended by him 10/10
The tour was an easy tour to participate in. The only factor to be aware of is that there is a fair amount of walking as part of the tour in order to access the historical sites and grasp the architectural beauty and the situational impact of all those ancient facilities. The other factor perhaps is it’s hot in Thailand and good share of the year. I was fortunate that during my tour we did not encounter rain storms.
I had a great tour and I have been waiting a good number of years to get to Bangkok to do these things. My tour guide was a lady by the name of. Benjamat, and she was a class act from all perspectives. She was very insightful and articulate with the historical background of the old facilities that we were walking through and insights into the battles and the key people of those days that made things happen. She kept things moving, but had a pace that was just right for my stage of life. She was very attentive to the heat the need for refreshment and selected a delightful place for lunch at served wonderful traditional Thai food. She made the day very enjoyable and very enlightening. She has stimulated me to do homework and now that I’m back home and dig into some of the historical events that took place around the old capital. I would highly recommend a tour and specifically I would highly recommend seeking out.Benjamat as your tour guide you will not be disappointed. My personal thanks to Benjamiat for her care and personal investment in the tour to make it such a memorable life event for me. Bravo.
It was an outstanding day of history and culture visiting the ancient capital of Thailand. Kit was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. Paul was an excellent and safe driver. Highly recommend this tour and even more with Kit and Paul!!
I booked this private solo tour for Mom and she loved it. Her guide Makhus went above and beyond to make her trip memorable. He took tons of photos for her and sent them all to us via multiple emails. Highly recommended!
We went in April, which is the summer season, so if you go during this time be prepared for a lot of heat. Since you are going into temples and need to wear long pants, be sure they are light and cool. With that said, the stories were very educational and interesting and you will learn a lot about the Thai people and religon and culture. The ancient city is about 2 hours out of Bangkok, so plan on this tour being all day. Also, this is a private tour and our guide, Kit, was always helpful and also a great photographer at all the sites.
What a fantastic experience, our guide was so full of knowledge about Malaysia, this enhanced the experience so much. Always making sure we had refreshments and a good lunch. But the site visits themselves were amazing, a great half day excursion if you want to know a little more about the history of Malaysia and Kuala Lumpur.
Kate was excellent. Great level of knowledge. Very helpful to us physically making sure we’re safe during our tour at various BUDAH sites as we are in our upper seventies. Price included traditional Thai lunch this was a private price was very reasonable for almost 9 hours

This was a fantastic experience. My husband and I brought my 21 year old nephew along and he was wowed the experience too. Kit was not only knowledgeable, but also an excellent photographer. The outrageously beautiful structures made post card worthy backdrops, so all are photos are beautiful. Kit also taught us a lot about Thai history, the different regions we were traveling through, and even taught us basic Thai. At the end of of tour Kit took us to a special restaurant that served custom made dumplings in soup. Very Thai, but unique too. Kit really was an excellent host. Mr Paul did an excellent job driving us from place to place so there was never a worry about parking. Truly an excellent experience.
The temples and ruins carry a lot of history. The city is UNESCO heritage site. Our guide Kate was very knowledgeable and informative. She made the experience worthwhile

Awesome friendly good English tour guide (Kate). I saw all the sites I wanted to see plus more. She had answers for my many questions and made it an awesome tour. Lunch was included and was very tasty. I had picked this tour because I’m a Sagat from Street Fighter fan. But it was much more than that and it was very much worth it. I also went to a dessert place since I told her I was really looking for a good Thai dessert. Excellent. I highly recommend your.
The private tour is the right option for this trip if you are willing to pay for it. We were able to enjoy the sites at our own pace, and we were transported in a very comfortable vehicle. Our tour guide, Whiskey, was a very friendly guy who shared a lot of fascinating facts and stories about Thai history and culture. He also got us some sweet roti in one of the markets which was fantastic, and it is something we would've skipped if we didn't know better. The restaurant we stopped at for lunch had great food as well!
A highly recommended tour to do while visiting Bangkok. Professional, friendly and informative tour. We were extremely lucky to have had Kit and Bella lead our tour. A wonderful tour giving insight to the ancient city, the religion, royal family and history of the amazing places we visited. An excellent driver took us in a clean and air conditioned van. Our tour group enjoyed a lovely local lunch. Kit and Bella were excellent and we very much appreciated the photos that they helped us take as a group of 4. Cannot recommend this tour enough. We saw all of the highlights of each of the temple ruins, but started in the morning with visiting the Royal Summer Palace complex for the royal family today. The best part was our guide, Phacharakrit Wichitwarakul whose nickame is "Kit." He unfolded the stories so that we could understand and experience very best during our Private Ayutthaya Day Tour - including how Kit took pictures of us with Instagramable settings!

The tour itself was ok, but the guide, jackie, not so much. Throughout the day i noticed he was smelling some plastic bottle that smelled like a strong vicky vaporub. Later he told me it was a "thai medicine" for when you are tired, so basically a legal high. On the ride back he was snorting it every 30 seconds, to the point the car was smelling like it after 15min. And then he started talking a lot about bars, girls, massages, really unprofessional and disgusting!!!

Outstanding experience! Our tour guide Benjamat and our driver took us on a beautiful adventure that included the summer palace and Ayutthaya. Along the way we had lunch and the opportunity to see the ancient capital of Siam. Transportation was private and clean with cold bottles of water and flower offerings provided as you continued.

Benjamat, our guide, was awesome she was extremely knowledgeable about the area and very flexible with our request to add an extra site to the tour. The car was very clean and the driver was prompt, helpful and safe. The only slight downside of this tour is the food provided is a buffet which was a little disappointing compared to some of the other tours.
The places we went to were wonderful. My issue was with the guide, who seemed to lack professionalism. She asked the driver to stop at an weekend open market. I was happy to see a very local market, versus a tourist-oriented one. However, she started shopping, complete ignoring me, and I ended up waiting for her at the entrance. Fortunately, the driver saw me and called her, and she came running, carrying many bags. At the historical site, I could tell she was tired, and she tried to rush me, but I told her to sit and wait for me as I walked around to take more pictures. I was disappointed with the guide, but I was very impressed with the driver who was much more considerate of me, and that was the reason for the extra star rating.
Wonderful guide and driver! The ancient capital was worth seeing and learning g about. The inclusion of lunch is fine but the restaurant was not a good one and the language barrier got in the way of a better dining experience. Please consider a Fixed Items lunch for this tour. Too much confusion currently
We had a great day with Nate, our tour guide. He spoke excellent English and was very personable. He also took wonderful photos for us, which is nice since sometimes you hand your phone to someone and you never know if they can take a decent picture. We felt we got an excellent education about Ayutthaya, well worth the all day visit and an easy trip from Bangkok.
