Beware of requests for additional money

After booking we were asked for more money (cash) since our hotel was out of town and it would be more than 2 hours of driving to arrive to Ayutthaya. We agreed on this since we didn’t know the city traffic. During the trip we actually discovered that the driver did not take the highway and for this we lost almost 2 hours’ tour since we were stuck in the traffic. Apart from that the guide Kiki made us spend a nice day and Ayutthaya is worth a visit.

Normally our pickup area is in Bangkok city limits only and this hotel is near Suvarnabhumi airport around 35 Kms far from the city limits, that's why we collect extra money for pickup & drop off from their hotel.
