We came to Bangkok via cruiseship so we only had 1 day for the highlights. As this is not much time we decided to book a private tour so we could move at our pace. Mr George as well as the driver were punctual. The car was clean and a cold bottle of water was waiting! Mr George provided background information on the 2 hour drive in as well as details on the day‘s itinerary. Just prior to arriving in the city we stopped for a restroom break. Mr George even thought to provide toilet paper! Our first stop was the flower market. We walked through parts of it with Mr George stopping to point out particular flowers or to point out their fragrances. On we went to a long-tail boat ride. Unfortunately there was insufficient time to travel to the floating markets. Next stop Grand Palace. Along the way another restroom stop along with the opportunity to fill our water bottles- much needed on this March day with plenty of sunshine, high humidity and temperatures around 37 Celsius.Throughout the tour Mr George was very conscious of stopping for explanations in areas where there was shade or a fan was blowing. A lot of little things make the difference such as pointing out or even taking pictures in the ideal spots or carrying our shoes through the temple with the reclining Buddha so we would have our hands free to take photos ourselves. Overall we were extremely satisfied with the tour and our day. Given the weather conditions further stops would have been too much! We also stopped for typical Thai food recommended by Mr George in an air-conditioned restaurant.

Very hot but perfect day with the perfect guide

Our guide was Ms. Aom, aka Mary Poppins! She carried this little purse that contained way more than it appeared to be able to hold! If we needed it, it appeared from her purse! Napkins, new tube of menthol to help with the oppressive heat... you name it and it appeared from that purse of hers. She loves the history and enjoyed talking with my husband about what we were seeing and she got so excited when he made the links between Thailand history and what we had seen earlier in India. Always smiling and pointing out perfect photo locations. My husband needed to rest occasionally and she was expert at finding a spot in the shade for a minute or two of rest. So responsive to our needs. The driver was always right on time to pick us up with cold water and cold cloths. It was a perfect day despite of the heat. I highly recommend this company. Very professional all the way!

Met Ms. Mee, our guide, at the Laem Chabang port dock. Following our long drive into Bangkok, we went immediately to the Grand Palace. It was extremely hot, but the Palace was a beautiful site to visit. My wife does not handle heat well, but Ms. Mee took excellent care of her. She also provided wonderful information pertaining to the Grand Palace. We then visited the "Reclining Buddha". Following this we had a wonderful lunch followed by the canal tour. This gave us an opportunity to witness life spent on the canals of Bangkok. As it was a long ride back to our cruise ship, we decided to head back to Laem Chabang. A delightful day in a beautiful city!!!! We also appreciate Ms. Mee and her driver for making the day special. My only complaint was the blistering hot temperatures. This, however, did not diminish the day of our visit.

Not only was this an extremely easy and relaxed way to see Bangkok, I think it allowed us to fit 2 days of sightseeing into one day because we didn't have to find our way around, wait in lines, etc. And having an air conditioned vehicle to come back to after each visit was wonderful in the hot humid climate of Bangkok. Even though traffic was worse than expected and caused delays, neither our guide or driver tried to hurry through the sites to make up the lost time. They worked extra time to make sure our visit was great.
