Floating streets with typical Thai food and clothes was mystical. I also tried riding an elephant! Unforgettable experience indeed! The floating street tour was a bit expensive though for a solo traveler - 5000 BHT. The experience was worth it though.

Can not comunicate

Driver speaks no English and the translational app is poor.Unable to communicate except on a very basic level.Best part of a driver is the insight into the culture of the city. Driver parked far away from palace because parking was expensive next to it..Finally we paid for parking.

The driver's decision to park far away from the palace may have been due to the high cost of parking, but it would have been helpful for them to communicate that to you in advance. Bit of a disastrous day

This day did not go well, Booked several weeks ago which was suppose to guarantee an English speaking driver - this was definitely not the case. It took us 20mins at pick up with the help of the hotel to confirm with him that it was us he was collecting. We could not get him to understand anything we said or where we wanted to go so had to get a map and point to the destination. He eventually took us to the Grand Palace and had to use a phone translator app to arrange a meeting point. As we needed to be back at hotel for 4pm we daren’t go anywhere else as he couldn’t give us any indication about distances or traffic so stopped for food and then went back to hotel. The whole idea of booking a driver was to be able to get some indication of getting about although we know he wasn’t a tour guide. We may as well just jumped into a taxi. Use Viator a lot but this has put me off as was nothing like the description of the activity.

Having an all day driver allowed us to do so much more than we could have with a taxi. We were stuck on going to Lopburi(Monkey temples) and it was much out of the way than the stated 350km in the itinerary for the driver. She seen how excited we were to go there and opted to take us with no extra charge.(no guarantee if you opted to do the same) We started off leaving Bangkok to Ayutthaya to see the ancient temples. She told us the history of them as well as showing us where to get tickets, snacks, souvenirs and even took us to the clean free bathrooms! There was no time limit to each stop we made. We were free to spend as much time there as we wanted. We never felt rushed . KiKi showed us where to start and politely waited in the front of the attraction for us to finish our site seeing. After Ayutthaya, we headed to Lopburi. We had a great time there and she gave us key instructions to being safe with the wild monkeys. She was polite the whole time, very friendly, and a safe driver. She was the perfect person to show you around town or take you to your dream destinations. She went above and beyond and we appreciated everything she has done for us. Thank you KiKi!
