Itinerary
Choose your tour option on booking, and begin with a pickup from your central Bengaluru hotel or meet your guide in the city center.
After introductions, stroll to the Sri Subramanya Swamy and other temples near Sajjan Rao Circle. Observe the rituals here, gaining insight into the region’s religious beliefs.
Then, continue to Food Street (Thindi Beedi). This famous street comes alive every evening as food vendors open for business, sizzling up a multitude of vegetarian regional and pan-Indian specialities.
With your guide, scout out and sample some goodies — your tour includes tastings equivalent to a typical dinner — and learn how the different delicacies are made as you walk, taste and talk.
Visit the VB Bakery, famous for its cream puffs and cookies, and call at select stalls to sample dishes like thatte idlis (soft rice-batter cake), vadas and ghee masala (spicy potato-filled) dosas.
Save room for sweet treats like holige, and perhaps try some north Indian chaats (fried savory snacks) and Indo-Chinese dishes. Finally, finish your meal like the locals do, with a glass of hot almond milk.
After around three hours, your tour concludes back at the start point.
