Fabulous day with Seyidağa! He is extremely friendly, humorous and quite knowledgeable. The scenery on the way to the remote Khinaliq Village was absolutely breathtaking!! Perfect amount of stops for the long rides. Candy Cane mountains were quite unique to see. Lunch was soup and chicken/lamb with rice. Great way to see some of the attractions of Azerbaijan.

Great day trip from Baku.

Aswin_S, Nov 2025
I took this tour on the 26-Nov-2025. It was a great experience. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ It was a group tour. There were some Russian speaking tourists and me as the sole English speaking tourists. The agency was kind enough to provide me with a separate English speaking guide. His name is Seyidağa. An amazing young gentleman. So there was a separate Russian speaking guide for the Russian tourists and my man Seyidağa as the English speaking guide for me. The tour started off at 7:30am from the pickup point. The pickup was smooth. Seyidağa had sent me all the required details of the pickup point including photos and Google map location the previous day. So it was very easy to locate the pick up point. The tour lasts for around 12 hours with many stops as follows: 1. Pink lake - Me and Seyidağa walked on shores of the lake close to the water sharing stories and details about lake and it's significance. The land itself has a pinkish hue close to the water but not allowed to enter the water. The place may not seem touristy or attractive but the sense of visiting a natural wonder is great. 2. Short bathroom break at a supermarket - Nice and economical place to have a break, coffee, snacks etc. 3. Candy Cane Mountains - A breathtaking scenary among the barren looking mountains of the region. It is a beautiful sight. I climbed all the way up the hills and took a lot of photos. The red, orange and white shades of colours on the hills looks beautiful in that landscape. 4. Lunch at Aynur Forest Restaurant inside a forest near Guba. 5. Stop at a beautiful gorge with tall mountains and cliffs and a small stream of water running below it. Beautiful sight. 6. Stops at 2 more beautiful viewpoints overlooking mountains and valleys. I just felt like sitting there all day. It was so relaxing and beautiful. 7. Khinaliq village - It felt like I went into the past. The simple settlements overlooking the valleys and mountains is in sharp contrast with Baku City. Khinaliq has a beauty of its own. I walked around interacting with the locals, the kids, really nice people. A plain and pure representation of mountain life. It was a great experience. 8. Rest stop along the way back to Baku - Bathroom break at a restaurant. You can purchase honey, have some food, coffee etc here. My guide - Seyidağa We had long and interesting conversations about the Azerbaijan, it's history, culture, traditions, everything. He is an amazing young gettleman, and a football expert 😎. He has vast knowledge about the history of Azerbaijan. I really enjoyed talking to him. I hope all his dreams and ambitions come true. Note : The tour is in a comfortable Toyota vehicle. However, the drive is not for the faint-hearted 😂. It's fast and furious mode of driving, especially through the narrow and winding mountain roads🏎️. It's drive is a feast for adrenaline seekers and adventure enthusiasts like me. I really enjoyed the drive. Kudos to the skillful driver, sorry I forgot his name, for taking all us safely to all the destinations on time. Overall a nice tour with many interesting geographical and cultural sights, well-timed to fit into a day tour. Great tour Agency, professional behaviour and dealings from the staff and guides. Overall I really enjoyed it. 🤗🤗🤗

Great tour, excellent guide: Fedan. Due to the long distance, we only had 40 minutes at the destination, Khinalig, but the tour still lasted from 7:30 AM to 8:00 PM. Lunch was delicious and reasonably priced at 15 AZN. In the off-road vehicles (40 AZN), there were only two of us sitting in the back, which was also a plus. I recommend it to everyone. Maybe one of the shop stops could have been skipped to leave a bit more time for the meaningful part of the trip.

Negative experience during this tour

Wing_Y, Oct 2023
We had a negative experience during this tour. Initially, the tour guide provided us with an introduction and outlined the attractions we would visit, which seemed promising. However, towards the end of the tour, we discovered that the information provided on the website was misleading. We chose this tour because it claimed to allocate more time for each attraction compared to other tours, but this turned out to be untrue. For example, we were supposed to have 2 hours of free time at the State Historical, Architectural, and Ethnographic Reserve Khinalig, but we only had around 20 minutes. Similarly, we were allotted 1 hour at Red Village, but our free time was limited to only 10-15 minutes. The most disappointing and frustrating part was that the promised 1 hour at Besh Barmag Mountain completely vanished without any explanation. Instead, we spent all of our time on transportation. At the final stop, we stay about 15-20 minutes at a bees shop with nothing to do. Furthermore, the lunch provided was not tasty. Additionally, the tour guide, Murad Ali, displayed unprofessional behavior. Initially, he was communicative and engaging, but on the return journey, it seemed as though he considered his job complete and neglected to attend to the needs of his customers. He started using his mobile phone in the car, playing it loudly, which was very annoying. I don't believe a professional tour guide should behave in such a manner. Based on this experience, I will not recommend this tour.

Antisemitism on tour

Julia_F, Aug 2023
We had a good time going to the Jewish village in Quba and the mountains; we enjoyed the lunch and learned about the town of Khinalik. We were disturbed, though, by the extensive and overt antisemitism we encountered on the trip, from both our fellow travelers and our guide. An Iranian on our trip made frequent comments, which he thought were jokes, about Jews' wealth. For example, when we drove past one of the president's mansions, the Iranian man said, "He must be Jewish!" Our guide, much to our consternation, rather than shutting the comments down, joined in them, saying once that there was no such thing as a poor Jew and making other similar comments throughout the trip. As people, we felt keenly troubled; as Jews, we felt threatened. We had been under the impression, from the description of the trip, that it would focus considerably on the Jewish history and current culture in Quba, but that was not the case; Quba was a very brief stop where we learned very little, and, instead, encountered bald antisemitism the likes of which we had never experienced in our lives. (What we've recounted here is just a small sampling.) Jewish travelers should be warned.

Khunalig… happiness is along the journey

PUNAM_B, Jul 2021
Quba like it’s people was interesting and pretty. The food was fresh and flavourful. However beautiful as the drive is to khunalig., the destination is dismally wanting . A scruffy cheerless settlement amidst carpet laden mountains of every hue and cover… what happened you ask!! Mushfig our guide was outstanding knowledgable, patient and a great conversationalist. Though it had been a long day he took us to buy the tea and honey . Also he speaks good English and was punctual.
