A very interesting tour! Got to learn more about Azerbaijan and its history and really recommend it!
One thing i didn't like is that the driver that drove us to the mud volcanoes asked for baksheesh (tip) and when you have paid for a tour with all included, that shouldn't happen, in my opinion.

Solid Experience
comfortable Ride
Baku has many Operators but must make sure that you don;t end up in old vehicle as rides are long and many operators will force you to buy expensive stuff

A very enjoyable day out! This tour takes in the main attractions around Baku. Our guide, Saed, was fun and friendly and very considerate, always preparing us in advance for the next thing, what to do and not to do, pointing out the toilets and refreshments….
If you are only here a few days, this is the perfect way to cover a lot of ground quickly! Highly recommended!
Response from Host, Jul 2026
Thank you for your detailed review! We're delighted you enjoyed the tour with Saed and found it informative and well organized. Hope to see you again!

We had a good day. The journey was very unique due to some unique places that we were blessed to see. The weather also played a major role in making the visit more pleasant. Our guide Elcan was informative, friendly, humorous, energetic and easy to be with. I would definitely recommend your tour to anyone I know. Thank you for making the day unforgettable.

This was a very well organized trip with an itinerary that covered all major attractions on the outskirts of Baku and around the city. Had an absolutely wonderful experience with our tour guide, Elcin. He explained everything in great detail and shared the rich history and culture of Azerbaijan in a very engaging way. He is very knowledgeable and clearly well-versed with the country’s history and places. Our guide Elcin impressed us with his language skills and broad knowledge, always adding interesting extra insights. Our trip became much more meaningful because of him. Highly recommend Elcin to anyone visiting Azerbaijan!
Response from Host, Jun 2026

Good day trip outside Baku! It allows you to see more of Azerbaijan and to get closer to Iran. I enjoyed the ride, the Bibi-Heybat mosque, and the outside rock art in Gobustan. Our tour guide was good and patient. He was good at managing the tour group. The mud volcanoes experience is a bit underwhelming. The short taxi driver to get to the mud volcanoes in the old cars is fun but the drivers are aggressive requesting a tip.
Response from Host, Jun 2026
Thank you for your valuable feedback! 😊 We're glad you enjoyed the tour and the unique sights around Baku. We appreciate your comments and hope to welcome you again on another adventure in Azerbaijan.

I joined this group tour in Baku and overall it was a really pleasant day, also thanks to the multicultural group I shared the experience with—everyone was very friendly and made the whole trip even more enjoyable.
The first stop at the mud volcanoes in Gobustan was interesting and fun, especially the jeep ride which added a bit of an adventurous, almost rally-like feel. That said, it’s something nice to see but not absolutely essential, so it could be skipped without too many regrets.
The visit to the petroglyph site, on the other hand, was much more impressive. I found it truly fascinating, especially with the museum included, which helps to better understand what you’re seeing. This is definitely a highlight and worth visiting.
Lunch, which was not included in the price, was decent—nothing particularly memorable, but still in a nice and typical setting.
The second part of the day was, in my opinion, the best: both the Fire Temple and Yanardag were very enjoyable. They are quite unique attractions and definitely worth seeing when visiting Baku.
A big plus of the tour was our guide, Elcin: young, friendly, very helpful, and knowledgeable. He kept us engaged throughout the entire day with interesting insights, without ever becoming too heavy or boring—which is not always a given.
Overall, a well-organized tour that I would recommend to anyone who wants to explore several attractions around Baku in one day. Some stops are more memorable than others, but taken as a whole, it was a great experience.
Response from Host, May 2026
Thank you for such a detailed and thoughtful review 😊
We’re very happy you enjoyed the experience, especially the petroglyphs, Fire Temple, and Yanardag. Your kind words about Elcin mean a lot to us 🌷

Jules_C, Apr 2026
Great locations to visit but poorly organised tour, you should consider another provider instead.
Hotel pickup was 45min late. Didn’t go to the proper mud volcanoes, apparently because of the rainy weather, so the ones we saw were not worth seeing.
We had lunch at some average restaurant owned by the same person who owns the tour company, at 2:30pm. Don’t know if that’s their usual time or because the tour started late, but again that’s not well managed.
Response from Host, Apr 2026
Thank you for your feedback. We’re sorry that your experience did not meet expectations.
The delay occurred due to late guests at a previous pickup point, which affected the overall schedule. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience.
Due to rainy weather, access to the main mud volcanoes was not safe, and SUV vehicles could not be used. For safety reasons, we visited alternative locations instead.
The late start also impacted the lunch timing. We will review this to improve our organization.
We appreciate your feedback and hope to welcome you again for a better experience.

Just wrapped up the BEST Gobustan, Volcanoes & Absheron Fire Tour in Azerbaijan—and wow, what an experience!
From the ancient rock carvings in Gobustan to the surreal mud volcanoes and the mesmerizing flames of Absheron, every stop felt unique and unforgettable. What really made the day stand out, though, was our guide, Mehebbet. Incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, and genuinely passionate about sharing Azerbaijan’s history and culture, he brought every location to life with stories and insights you wouldn’t get otherwise.
The tour was smooth, well-paced, and thoughtfully organized—perfect whether you’re going solo or with a group. If you’re visiting Azerbaijan, this one’s an absolute must-do. And if you’re lucky enough to have Mehebbet as your guide, you’re in the best hands!
Highly recommended!

Kevin_M, Mar 2026
An excellent trip by such a hard working host Sayed. The only criticism I had & it was extremely annoying & tiring was listening to the talented host speak in 3 directions languages for 9 hours! I had to listen to the same message in Turkish, English, Russian & I think Azerbaijani.
Now I wouldn’t mind Azerbaijani & English but adding Turkish spoilt the tour for me. Not the hosts fault. The tour should be offered in either English, Turkish or Russian not mixing all 3 in one tour!
I stupidly left my bag in a restaurant we went for lunch. Very honestly, the restaurant text Sayed with a photo of my bag asking if it belonged to our group. I claimed it & as we drove past on our way back Sayed grabbed it for me from a staff member who was wailing outside.
Went straight into the restaurant to thank them & ordered a huge meal from them to show my thanks to Matbakh (Masa 3) in Baku.
Response from Host, Mar 2026
Dear Kevin,
Thank you for your detailed feedback and for joining our tour! 😊 We’re glad to hear you enjoyed the trip and that Sayed was helpful throughout the day.
We also appreciate your comment regarding the multiple languages during the tour and will certainly take this into consideration as we continue improving our service. We’re happy your bag was safely returned as well!
Hope to see you again in Baku! 🌟
Best regards,

Luca_C, Feb 2026
We had a great time on this tour and would definitely recommend it, especially thanks to our guide, Said, who was extremely knowledgeable and passionate.
Said explained the history of Azerbaijan in a very engaging way and shared many interesting anecdotes about the country and about Baku, which made the whole experience even more enjoyable. His preparation was outstanding, particularly when talking about the Ateshgah Fire Temple: his explanations about its history, religious significance, and cultural background were clear, detailed, and fascinating.
Unfortunately, on January 1st the Gobustan National Park was closed, which was disappointing, but fortunately we were able to request and receive a refund without any problems.
Overall, we really enjoyed the tour. The guide’s deep knowledge of Azerbaijani history and culture made a big difference, and it was a fun and enriching experience.
Response from Host, Feb 2026

Our guide Mahabat was okay. He walked a bit fast and didn’t offer to take any pictures for people, which was disappointing. Most of the stops were underwhelming. Our favorites were Gobustan and the Zoastrian fire temple.
Response from Host, Dec 2025
Thank you for your feedback. We’re glad you enjoyed Gobustan and the Zoroastrian Fire Temple 🌋. We’ll review your comments to improve our guide’s service for future tours.

Karl_K, Nov 2025
The tour was well organized and we managed to cover a lot during the tour. Our guide, Nazir, was very knowledgeable and interesting to listen to. It was very good to cover so much in just one day.
The Gobustan petroglyphs were the most impressive, in our opinion, but both the fire at Yanar Dag and the Zoroaster fire temple were interesting, especially with all the information about it from our guide.
Response from Host, Nov 2025
Thank you for your kind words! We’re glad the tour and Nazir’s guidance made your day memorable. 🙏
Eric_G, Nov 2025
Our guide Elcan was great. He was very knowledgeable and flexible. He knew how to focus on the main things. Get ready for a wild ride to the mud volcanos!
Response from Host, Nov 2025
Thanks a lot for your review! Happy to hear Elcan made the tour informative and fun. 🚙🔥
Ton_N, Nov 2025
The tour is advertised as to be provided in English. The vedor somehow decided to add tourists that spoke other language.. the result.. the time extended quite a bit, since all the explanations happened twice
Response from Host, Nov 2025
Thank you for your feedback. We truly apologize for the inconvenience caused by the mixed-language group — we’ll ensure better grouping in future tours 🙏
Jacob_R, Nov 2025
This was a great start to my trip and showed lots of Azerbaijan history in places other than just Baku
All the stops were worthwhile and we were not in the car for an unreasonable amount of time
The guide Mahabat was full of knowledge and made us feel safe in a new place
Highly recommend
Response from Host, Nov 2025
We’re so glad you enjoyed exploring Azerbaijan with Mahabat! Thanks for the kind words 🌷

Compact tour with many good experiences fitted in. Lunch a bit pricier for the quality but still a nice meal. Recommended by a travel blog and glad we chose it. Tip: bring a small container should you wish to package some mud for a mask later in the day!
Response from Host, Nov 2025
Thank you, Viviana! We’re happy you enjoyed the tour and found it a great experience 😊
