We booked this tour because Kalabsha needed advanced permission to visit. Our guide, Samuel, arrived on time and took us through the army security check point to reach the port serving Kalabsha. We then took a today to New Kalabsha Island. Daniel warned us not to put our hand in the water as we were in lake Nausea which has crocodiles. We arrived at the island and were greeted by a dog. Daniel told us that he was a sad dog because a crocodile took his partner when she went for a drink one day. The tour was fantastic, we had the island almost to ourselves. Daniel was a proper guide, a refreshing change from the guides we experienced in Cairo. He took us around the site giving detailed explanations about what we were seeing. He then left us alone to take photographs and take in the wonder of the site. I can not emphasize enough how good our guide was and what a fantastic morning we had visiting temples very few tourists get to see. I highly recommend this tour.
