Philae Temple with Sound and Light Show in Aswan

Seeing the temple at night, especially coming up to it by boat while it was lit up, was a breathtaking experience. And Mina, our driver, was professional and very helpful. He arrived early and was waiting for us in the hotel lobby at the appointed time. His car was Immaculate and roomy, and on the way he stopped so I could go to an ATM. We were a little late to the boat landing because of stopping at the ATM, but he negotiated to have a boat immediately meet us, and we were the only ones on that boat and probably the last boat to get to the island. The audio for the show was melodramatic and hard hard to follow. The only part that was interesting enough to hold my attention was the latter part when we were sitting. It was interesting to hear of the relationship of the temple to various periods in time. Seeing the temple at night, however, is a must-see event. It is such a beautiful, well preserved Temple and it really shines, no pun intended, under their lighting. I would definitely recommend doing this tour, especially with Mina as your driver.
