The tour was well organized and the pickup was on time. The felucca ride at sunset was pleasant and everything went smoothly. However, the experience felt quite short (about one hour) and a bit rushed. Most of the time we stayed in front of the city of Aswan rather than sailing around the islands like Elephantine, which would have made the experience more special and authentic. It felt more like a simple boat ride than a real felucca sailing experience. Overall it was nice, but it felt like the minimum of what was offered.

Regarding the duration and the sailing route, our sunset felucca trip is designed as a relaxing one-hour experience so guests can enjoy the beauty of the Nile, the sunset views, and the traditional sailing boat without feeling too tired after a long day of sightseeing. However, the exact sailing route of the felucca can sometimes depend on the wind direction and the natural movement of the Nile. Since feluccas rely completely on wind rather than engines, the captain must choose the safest and most comfortable route depending on the weather conditions at that time.
In some cases, when the wind is not strong enough to sail further around the islands such as Elephantine Island, the captain may stay in the wider part of the river near the city to maintain a smooth and enjoyable sailing experience for guests. Safety and comfort always come first when using traditional sailing boats.

This was supposed to be a Sunset Cruise. It was a warm, very windy day on the Nile, and the young gentleman who sailed the boat were excellent! My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed the sailing .experience; I was mesmerized watching them manage the rudder and the sails. They worked so hard and made the sailing experience incredible. Unfortunately though, we were told to meet at 4:00 p.m. for our cruise. Since the cruise was only an hour, we got back to our hotel an hour before sunset. So while we enjoyed the cruise and the experience, it wasn't exactly as advertised.

Had a great Felucca ride experience thanks to Mohamed Salah, our tour guide for the same. There were so many interesting facts and history attached, one couldn't possibly imagine. He even took some amazing pictures of us! Recommend experiencing this atleast once when in Aswan.

Our guide on the day was very helpful but the tour operator had not communicated any details to the guide.
The tour is advertised with pick up and drop off to the hotel and despite having checked that our hotel location was eligible for pick up, the tour guide was not informed about pick up. We had to explain this to him and sort it out. Make sure you confirm with the tour guide - especially if you are staying at Kato Dool resort which is quite remote.
Bottled water was not given to us on the ride, despite being included in the description - another thing that was not communicated to the tour guide. After we told him, he did get us water once we got off the boat.
The price for 1 hour ride is quite high for what it is. There is no music on the boat so it can get boring.
Also we did not stay on the boat till sunset. The ride finished about 30/40 mins before sunset.

Tour guide was very professional. Showed up on time ne explained alot about Aswan while on the boat. He gave us a great recommendation for dinner and food was amazing.

Safi our guide was very friendly, knowledgeable of the area and history. He was not pushy about prices or buying or things. He even offered to take us after our trip to a restaurant. We asked other drivers and guides of their recommendations on places to eat. None of them knew what we were asking. Safi knew what we asked and recommended a place, took us and brought us back. The best tour we took this whole trip!
