Overview
Enjoy an early morning sunrise hike with a private guide and hotel pickup. Aruba’s Natural Pool is very popular during the day, so visiting early in the morning is a way to avoid the crowds. This was a nice break from the monotony of beach/poolside vacation. Our guide, Rob, was helpful and informative. You don’t need to be too athletic but will have to do about 3 mile hike (round trip). The views are stunning and worth the effort. It also ends before 10am so you still have the rest of the day to go back to your beach/poolside vacation.

A highlight of our visit! The early start and mild temperatures made this quite enjoyable! Our guide was wonderful and kept a reasonable pace for all! The veins were spectacular!

Rob was outstanding. Prompt, informative, attentive are just a few words to describe his service. The views, breathtaking. The sunrise, phenominimal. The hike was beginner with a couple of larger hills. For the person that loves the outdoors, this is an island must.

We had an excellent experience with Rob. The hike was challenging at times but the view and experience was worth it. Unfortunately, we were not able to swim in the natural pool due to the dangerous conditions...but the trip was still worth it. Rob also answered all of our (many) questions about Aruba...we learned so much! Would highly recommend!

Monica was amazing and the hike was perfect! I would do it again! There were so many beautiful pictures and the hike itself was just challenging enough. We took my son (14) and Nephew (16) and it was great for them and me and my husband.

This is a 5 star excursion. Yes it is an early wake up call but 100% totally worth it. Our tour guide Rob met us at the meet up location and we followed him to the private location. It’s a hike so expect up hill and down hill - a true quad workout while taking in all of the nature and sunrise. We were the only ones in the natural pool. This was a bonus. Rob packed us little back packs with towel, scuba mask, water and a granola bar. The fish are beautiful in the natural pool. Let me end by saying we did 3 different excursions and this private sunrise tour for our family of 6 was the best one of all.

I traveled with my twin sister and spirited 12-year-old niece to Aruba (our first time!) for a much-needed girl’s trip in mid-June. Laying on a man-made beach with a margarita was not on the agenda – adventure WAS!
We booked the Sunrise Hike on our last full day in Aruba.
Rob was the ideal person to guide our group’s discovery of and wonder at the “real” Aruba! We met Rob in front of our hotel at 5:30 AM! He was extremely personable and immediately set us at ease as we made our way to the parking spot. He answered all our questions about the beautiful island's history, food, and culture. It is apparent that he is passionate about what he does and committed to preserving the natural beauty of the island. Rob brought everything we needed in cute backpacks – plenty of drinking water, granola bars, and fresh fruit to end our hike! Even snorkels and towels for our swim in Conchi Natural Pool at Arikok National Park.
Did I mention I am not athletic or a morning person? I would do it again in a heartbeat.

This experience was amazing for myself and for my teenage son and daughter!!! Rob was friendly, knowledgeable, and professional .
Being a native of Aruba, he gave us a different perspective than your average tour. This felt like a hike with a friend.
It is a mile and a half hike each way but well worth the trek. Perfect time of day when the sun isn’t too hot, and there are no crowds of people. I would 100 percent recommend! It was definitely a highlight of our trip!!!

The view the walking on rugged terrain with just a flashlight. Clouds prevented a good crisp sunrise but we saw a lot!

This hike was amazing! One of the best things we did in Aruba! I was a little nervous because I get anxiety about new experiences but I’m so excited we decided to do it! Rob picked us up from our hotel at 5:30 and it was about a 25 minute drive to the starting point. It was a pretty easy hike with a few little hills but nothing crazy. That big hill you go down in the beginning is the bigger hill you will have to go up on the way back. It takes a little less than a 1.5 to get to the point of sunrise and then you get to swim in the nature pool. There is no place to change or restrooms so wear your swimsuit under your clothes if you want to swim. Rob was everything the reviews say… very friend, knowledgeable and makes you feel very comfortable during the whole hike. He even got me to jump off a big rock into the nature pool, not something I would normally do on my own. He took pictures of my bf and I which was really nice to have some pictures of us from the hike and swim! He took us on a different path back but closer to the water to see different views! I’m so glad we booked this and felt great after to start the day getting a little workout and still had the whole day to plan other activities.

This was one of the best experiences we had on the island. Our guide was knowledgeable and enthusiastic, the hike was beautiful, we saw the sun rise over the ocean, and had the natural pool all to ourselves. The weather was calm so we also were able to jump off a 25 ft cliff into the ocean! We ended the morning with a stop at a local bakery for some pastries. Unforgettable morning, would do this again!

If traveling to Aruba please do yourself a favor and book this tour. This tour is great for friends, family and couples to do. Waking up at 5am is totally worth it. Our tour guide Monica picked us up on time and we made it to our destination with no problem. Throughout the hike we got to take amazing photos and Monica gave great information about the history and landmarks of the island.

We were so excited for this hike. We were supposed to be hiking as the sun was rising, our driver showed up 30 minutes late - went to the wrong hotel. When we finally started the hike, the sun was already up. It wasn't a long hike, not much to see or do. It is definitely not worth the money that we paid.

Hi Diane, We greatly appreciate your honesty about your experience and regret to hear that it was not the above-and-beyond that we aim for. We wish we had realized this during your trip in December, so we could have provided an alternative experience that better matched what you were looking for. It can be difficult to find consistency in availability of fruits on the island. When local watermelon isn’t available, we rely on imported ones, which sometimes arrive here soggy - even when just bought from the store. We usually pick up on any irregularities during prep and provide an alternative, and greatly apologize for this having slipped our attention. The guide that took you out is new and still getting used to our system - she arrived at the hotel that you initially mentioned in your Viator booking. Arriving this late is unforgivable and we regret to not have compensated you for this in an appropriate manner. Thank you for your honesty and if you find yourself back in Aruba, we’d love to take you on a longer hike to Aruba’s highest point that may be more up your alley. Aruba’s nature has so much to offer and we know we can do better the next time around ☀️

My tour guide Monica was AMAZING when I visited during Labor Day Weekend from the states. She was well equipped, easy-going, and fun to hike with in the wee hours of the morning. I would definitely recommend this experience!!

Monica our tour guide was great! Very patient with us as we took pictures or just waiting on the older folks to navigate up or down rocky terrain.
It is a bit more challenging than a flat beach nature hike. You will walk up rocky areas and beaches with slight inclines so be prepared.

This was not a typical hike with a tour guide. Rob is the best person for this hike. He is a native of Aruba who knows the ropes to hike to the natural pool , he is very talented and he makes you laugh. Rob will be big with his business in Aruba. This was our first time seeing the sunrise while hearing the ocean! Best of luck Rob!
