Basel, our driver was great! He was very punctual picking us up/dropping us off to our local tour guide. We felt very safe in the car with him.
The local guide was knowledge, but we had higher expectations given the cost of the private tour.
For a fraction of the price, you can take your own taxi from Amman and pay a local guide to show you Jerash for cheap. Highly recommend to do this on your own instead of through a private tour.

We regret to know that your experience fell short of your expectations on the price, despite your comments of the excellent service provided from us of our English Speaking Driver in a modern sedan new vehicle with AC, water, and WIFI. Your opinion is very important to us, and was well noticed as well as valued. However, please take note our prices are very well studied since the prices we offer are value for money service, as we are not the most expensive nor the least expensive; especially when it comes to private services we just nail it! Since this is a private tour all-inclusive as mentioned under inclusions, it should be differed than doing it on travelers own, especially as you mention the elements of safety, punctuality, and knowledge. These items sum it all for us! Thank you.

This tour to Jarash proved to be marvelous. Bassam Jebreen came on time to pick me up in my hotel and off we went to Jarash. The trip from Amman to Jarash took about 45 minutes but it is worth the travel especially once you arrived the ancient Roman ruins of Jarash. I would highly recommend people to take this trip for its historical value.

This is a total rip off, you can get a taxi or private car to wait for you for less than half of the price and a get a tour guide in Jerash for less than 20.

Awesome tour in Jordan. A short 45-60 minute drive to get there from Amman. Great driver (Basel) that was able to educate us on the history of Jordan, politics, religion, and any thing else you wanted to know about Jordan and the surrounding countries. Our tour guide was great at Jerash as well (provided by the booking on Viator). A dream come true all around for a family vacation. ( Note - Try to get Jordanian Dinar prior to getting to the airport. The airport gives a horrible exchange rate to buy your Visas to get into the country)! (April 2014)

I appreciated being picked up at the Sheraton by the tour guide in his car. He explained what we were seeing as we drove about 45 minutes to Jarash. I was a bit disappointed when he passed me off to a local "official guide" who took me through about half of the complex at a bit of a rush. Jarash is not very well developed for history buffs with only about 30% unearthed and very few signs or labels.

If you are in Amman, make the time see Jerash...one of the best preserved roman cities. A guided (govt guides) visit takes 2 hrs, and its time well spent!

The entire experience was excellent. The only issue is that the driver depended on finding an independent guide at the actual site, and he was successful at getting us a very good guide and everything worked out. During my last Viator experience in Luxor, the guide and driver met us at the airport and we had a dedicated guide.

Visiting Jerash was one of the highlights of our trip. We felt like VIPs with our driver! The ruins are a must-see on any trip to Jordan. Our guide was fantastic and the lunch on the way home was sensational - we tried every local dish imaginable. I would give this tour 6 stars!

Good experience - as easy to do as the original booking. Both our driver and our guide at Jerash were excellent, the latter extending the tour because of our obvious interest. If you have a short stopover, go to Jerash - with the exception of the Colosseum, we reckon it beats Rome!

Jerash is a spectacular site with Roman ruins that stagger the imagination. This has to be one of the largest and most complete Roman sites in the world. It is a must-see, even if you have been to some of the other famous sites in Italy, Turkey and Israel.
