Enjoy a day exploring beautiful South Australia without having to drive yourself from Adelaide. Travel through the picturesque Adelaide Hills and into the Fleurieu Peninsula, where the vines meet the sea. Pass through Goolwa and on to Victor Harbor, a popular seaside town. Spend some free time here, perhaps grabbing lunch (own expense). The return to Adelaide takes you via the McLaren Vale wine region.

Itinerary
After morning pickup from central Adelaide, travel by climate-controlled coach through the Adelaide Hills to Strathalbyn, a historically Scottish town. Have free time on High Street to purchase morning tea if you like. Continue to Goolwa and take in the wharf and beach of this paddle-steamer town.
Pass through the Currency Creek wine region and journey to Goolwa for a brief tour around the wharf, barrage, and beach areas.
Travel past the waterside town of Port Elliot and Horseshoe Bay, then make a brief stop at Whale Lookout for photo ops on the way to Victor Harbor. After lunch (own expense), have time to explore Granite Island, where you might spot Australian wildlife such as little penguins and southern right whales (seasonal).
Return to Adelaide via McLaren Vale and the southern metropolitan beaches of Port Noarlunga and Moana. Your tour ends with drop-off at your starting point in the early evening.

Was a great day touring with our Guide, Athol! He pointed out many interesting sights and was full of great trivia and funny jokes. This tour was a nice mix of beautiful scenery and relaxing driving. Our stops at Strathalbyn and Victor Harbor were nicely timed and beautiful.

We covered a great selection of Adelaide, Strathalbyn was a beautiful historic town. We had plenty of time to explore Victor Harbor . The guide was informative and engaging. A great trip.

The driver and guide were fantastic! I suggest making a stop in Gowla to fully appreciate the main attractions before heading straight to Victor Harbor. Spending at least two hours in Victor Harbor will allow us to enjoy the beautiful city and its stunning views. Overall, it was a worthwhile investment and a wonderful Saturday. When I was on the coach, our driver introduced some historical properties and beautiful scenery, and he gave us time to take photos if time allows (as our group had 10 passengers).

Great walk over the new bridge to Granite Island and a delicious lunch at the local pub. The view from the top of granite rock was superb.

More time at the harbour, more time around the area where the Murray enters the sea and a better commentary of where the sight were, ie right or left of the coach

It was a nice scenic drive to Victor Harbour. The bus we were on only had 13 people. The driver gave a good commentary about history and the coastline.
I do wish there was more time to stop along the way at Goolwa and a longer stop at Victor Harbour.

It was a nice and relaxing opportunity to see more of what the area around Adelaide has to offer. Roger was great; very friendly and knowledgeable! My only complaint, if you will, was not having an opportunity to get off the bus at Goolwa Beach. Just a quick photo op and stretch of the legs would have been preferable at the beach than the stop at the barrage. I would rather have stayed on the bus there and gotten off the bus at the beach. Just my personal two cents. I enjoyed myself very much! Thank you!

We enjoyed this trip but of course a lot of time was spent travelling on the road ….that’s the way it is in Australia….a vast country! Our morning tea stop at Strathalbyn was enjoyable! We had 21/2 hours in Victor Harbor which is more than enough time to look around here and have lunch! We liked the tour along the coast road and The River Murray town of Goolwa! It would have been good to stop to take photos of the River! Overall a great experience with our driver Athol! Lunch is not included in this trip so pricing should be less for this tour I feel!

Fantastic views of Horseshoe Bay and Encounter Bay as well as Goolwa. Food good but we waited 75 minutes for our main course so didn’t have time to shop in Victor Harbor or look around.

The. Very attractive small towns we stopped at such as Strathalbyn and McLaren Vale. The beautiful coastal scenery. The excellent driver Roger. Exactly the right amount of commentary.

We had a most enjoyable experience with driver Roger.
Really had a wonderful trip.
The only thing that made the booking unfortunate, was the Viator chat line operator, Leezly, don’t know we she was, probably in the Philippines, but she made a habit of giving poor information.
She told us we would be picked up for the tour at the Hilton Adelaide, but when the paperwork arrived via email, pickup was the Adelaide Bus Station.
Also she told us the price was $235.50 but in effect we payed $315.29 with the exchange from $US to $Australia instead of the advertised price of $149.00 p/p, $298.00
All in all we really enjoyed the trip but something has to be done with the call centre giving poor info.

The tour experience was excellent. The lunch part was terrible. We waited 3/4 of an hour for our meal to be delivered after ordering. Their excuse was that the company had not informed them of the names of the diners. Very annoyed as we wasted time when we could have been out enjoying the area.

Bus left without us, as time said departing from bus terminal at 9.15am but had left a little before that so we had missed it and caught a ditto to the first stop of the tour. We loved victor harbor.

A fantastic opportunity to see a lovely part of South Australia. The coach stopped sufficiently to get a closer look at villages and details, and the meal in Victor Harbour was tasty and abundant. However I would have appreciated a little more time here to go on the horse drawn tram and not just take photos of it! We also got to see some magnificent coastline. The highlight for me was a brief visit to the Tintara Winery in MacLaren Vale where I tasted some good wine and even bought a couple of bottles.I thought the whole experience was good value for money and I enjoyed it very much.

I booked this trip for a group of friends to celebrate a birthday. Our bus driver Cheryl was a very good driver plus very informative about the towns we passed through. We had morning tea in Strathalbyn and a lovely lunch in Victor Harbor and onto McLaren Vale. We had a fantastic day well worth the money. Highly recommend

Was a very busy day, had quiet a few stops which is a great way to see along the coast and some small villages. Only had just over 1.5 hours in Victor Harbor, so very quick look around.

Enjoyed the trip down to Victor Harbor, McLaren Vale and back up the coast to Glenelg. Peter and Roger were great guys to show us around and provide loads of local information. This was our first trip to Adelaide, so it was a good introduction to seeing the Adelaide countryside.
