My visit to Cape Coast Castle, Elmina Castle, and the Kakum National Park Canopy Walkway was nothing short of powerful, educational, and unforgettable.
At Cape Coast Castle, our tour guide Joseph was exceptionally professional and deeply knowledgeable. He presented the history with clarity, respect, and compassion, ensuring we fully understood the significance of the site while creating space for reflection. His ability to balance historical facts with emotional awareness made the experience truly impactful.
At Elmina Castle, Thomas was equally outstanding. His delivery was engaging and informative, bringing history to life in a way that was both captivating and thought-provoking. His passion for sharing the stories and preserving the legacy of the site was evident throughout the tour.
The Kakum Canopy Walkway was an adventure! Walking high above the rainforest was exhilarating and offered breathtaking views. However, it’s important to note that getting to the canopy requires a vigorous, rocky hike. I would strongly advise that anyone with leg or back issues proceed with caution or reconsider, as the trek can be physically demanding.
A special thank you to our driver Emanuelle, who was incredibly thoughtful, patient, and professional. He ensured our journey between locations was smooth, safe, and comfortable, adding an extra layer of ease to the entire experience.
Overall, this was a deeply enriching and well-coordinated experience. I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Ghana who wants a meaningful blend of history, culture, and adventure.

The tour to the Cape Coast, Elmina Castle, and Kakum Park, and the entire experience was incredibly well-organized.

When the tour was booked, the phone number provided was unfortunately not valid, which meant we were unable to reach you directly. Our team sent several emails and text messages to try to confirm your pickup time and communicate the tour details, but we did not receive any response.
Because we could not make contact to confirm arrangements, we were ultimately forced to cancel the tour for operational reasons. As soon as this happened, we processed a full refund.
We always make every effort to contact guests in advance to confirm pickup times and ensure everything runs smoothly, but unfortunately in this case we were unable to reach you using the contact details provided.
That said, we truly look forward to hosting you again in the future and hope to provide you with a much better experience next time.

Excellent day out and our tour guide, Daniel, was warm and informative throughout! It is a very long day out, so I’d recommend packing lots of water (although some is provided by the tour) and snacks.

This was so dope! The castles are beautiful with such a sad history to it. They will have you feel upset snd event experience the darkness the places saw during the time. The national park was the great amount of thrill you need. Make sure to wear comfortable SNEAKERS for the trip!

I’m so glad I took this tour! It managed to be both deeply moving and very refreshing. The historical visits to the castle were intense, informative and eye-opening. The attractions were great and led by the people who worked there, not even the “private tour guide”. Everything else was terrible from start to finish. 1 hour late pickup, no WiFi, broken tire that made us stop on the road for an extra hour to get fixed, poor planning and explanation of locations along the way, unorganized, kept switching the order of attractions, was supposed to eat lunch at a restaurant but because we were so late we had to eat on the bus, waited almost an hour in the bus for our takeaway food when the food was supposed to be ready when we got there. Food not included which is ridiculous for the American dollars they are charging. Stupid stupid and hopeless all around. We had to tour the Elmina castle in the dark. Got back at almost 2am because of all the things that went wrong. Everything was ridiculous. This company is a joke. The busses aren’t even owned by the company, they are random drivers they rent from and have no coordination or communication with the company. I seriously want to dispute the charge from my card because it was almost $500 for 4 of my family members… but I’m kind.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We are, however, surprised by much of what has been written, as several key facts have been misrepresented.
First of all, this tour was booked last minute, and we contacted you immediately to inform you that we were already fully booked and would not normally be able to operate the tour. You then explained that it was your last day in Ghana and strongly requested that we still make the tour happen. As a gesture of goodwill, we went out of our way to accommodate you by using a bus from our trusted partner logistics company, as all company vehicles were already in use. This was done specifically to ensure you did not miss the experience.
Regarding the delayed pickup, this was not caused by our team. As you are aware, the delay occurred because you and other travellers at different pickup points were not ready on time, which affected the overall start of the tour and had a knock-on effect throughout the day.
The tyre issue occurred due to active road construction along the route, where there were numerous rocks and sharp objects on the road. This was completely outside of our control and the situation was handled as quickly and safely as possible.
Concerning lunch, food is clearly stated as not included on the activity page and on your voucher. This policy exists because many guests have dietary restrictions and allergies, and we believe it is best for guests to choose their own meals. This information was not hidden and was provided well in advance.
While we always strive to deliver excellent service, it is important to note that you were travelling in a developing country, where conditions, logistics, and timing can differ significantly from those in the United States. Despite this, our team made every possible effort to ensure the tour went ahead under challenging circumstances—circumstances that we did not originally have the capacity to accommodate.
We acknowledge that the day did not go perfectly, and we regret that your experience did not meet your expectations. However, it is inaccurate to suggest that no effort was made or that the company was disorganised or dishonest. On the contrary, we went above and beyond to make this tour possible for you at very short notice.
We wish you safe travels and hope future trips meet your expectations.

The bus was not aligned with the description in the vaucher.
Small one, tight seats, can not change place as it was full, it gives me leg and back ache, for a total of 8hours on both ways, food should be prohibited on board (a part from snacks/drinks) as a guest suffered from allergies and I was requested to give my seat on the front, to accommodate her, guests should be treated equally and the guide should have given its seat instead....
The driver jochowa and guide Emmanuel tried their best to face the challenges, but the tour ended late 2am the next day. Very challenging for the road. No WIFI on Board.
Pick up and drop off were done professionally especially the pick up on time as received. I liked the team spirit of the provider, but I think some work should be done for long distance trips with the bad road conditions.
At the end were were back all safe.

A wonderful experience. The tour guilds were amazing. Very informative and answered any questions that you may of had.
The Canapy walk way was great.
Not for the faint hearted, as the walk to the Canapy has a lot of steep steps. But enjoyable.
Our guide was AMAZING.
His name was Thomson. For the time we were pick up until the end of the tour he was lively talked to us on the way filling us in on the places we where going to pass through names of places history of the towns. Most of all had us I. Fits of Laughter.
By the end of the tour strangers became friends.

Our family joined this full-day guided tour from Accra, and it was an unforgettable and deeply moving experience. We visited Elmina Castle, Cape Coast Castle, and the Kakum National Park Canopy Walk, with a knowledgeable guide (Michael) who helped us navigate both the history and the logistics of the day.
Highlights:
Elmina Castle: The tour was profoundly educational, with a detailed explanation of the trans-Atlantic slave trade and the daily lives of those who were imprisoned there. The dungeons and the Door of No Return were particularly powerful and emotional, offering a moment for reflection and remembrance.
Cape Coast Castle: Visiting here was especially meaningful for me personally, as it connected deeply to my own family and historical context. The guide balanced historical accuracy with sensitivity, allowing us to absorb the story without overwhelming our young children. Our daughter (7) was engaged with parts of the tour, while we kept our son (almost 4) mostly outside, which worked perfectly.
Kakum Canopy Walk: This was a fun and adventurous contrast to the castles. The elevated walk through the rainforest was exhilarating and offered stunning views. The kids loved it, and it provided a lighter, physical component to balance the emotional weight of the castles.

Departed early from Accra and returned in the evening—long but manageable with a family.

Action packed day seeing a ton of spots with an energetic team that put in a 16 hour day to give us what we needed. I was at first surprised to be put with 2 other travelers since I was forced to pay a penalty as a solo traveler, which usually means you're alone. They came up with a bit of an excuse for this, which does not compute with me. So if you book solo and pay a penalty, you still may be with other travelers. In my case I loved the 2 ladies that joined me, but you may not be so lucky. Consider checking with them first, Ultimately it was still worth the price I paid and this was a professional, friendly operation.

The journey is long and the road construction impacts the normal timeframe. At the same time, our Tour Guide and driver, Geo Fred was AMAZING! He had the four of us sharing information about our Ghana choice, teaching us and using our Ghanaian names based on day of birth-as a way of introductions, and teaching and expecting us to use basic Ghanaian terms. He was very considerate of our needs and did a great job of including “ strangers, “ in all aspects of the experience,”so that we felt comfortable asking questions and spending time together. My experience was a memorable one from get go. Kwame(we cool) covered all basis. Kwame is a tour guide of "PAR EXCELLENCE". The 5 member visiting team became family.Our touring team: 1 Afican America, 1 Caribbean, 3 Burkinabe, our tour was " SPICY" all the way. The hike above the rain forest was a welcoming challenge, that's all I'll express here, visit me in Trinidad & Tobago (T&T) if you want to know more.

My partner and I had a memorable, sobering, and ultimately thought provoking experience visiting the castles and the forest. The company was prompt and thorough in communicating a pickup location that wasn’t on the list but proved to be no problem for them. After picking up the other attendees we headed towards the forest. Moses, our guide, explained the history of Ghana and what we saw on the road as well. His relationships with tour guides, authorities, and locals made the trip better. I recommend this excursion to everyone.

I had a great experience in this tour! The tour guide, Emmanuel, was extremely friendly, fun and patient. Also, the company manager, George, was very professional and handled really well a situation that was out of his control. Because of a storm and maintenance service on the road to Cape Coast, we got stuck in an insane traffic jam, which prevented us from reaching the third site of the tour on the planned time. Even though the delay was not their fault, George arranged a customized package for me the next day, combining the site that I had missed with another site I wanted to visit and offered me an important discount, just to ensure that I was able to visit all the places I had planned to see in that region. I really appreciated their flexibility and ability to deal with unpredicted factors during the tour.

The Cape Coast tour with Thompson was great! Kakum Park is definitely a place not to miss. Even though I’m afraid of heights, it was a great opportunity to challenge that fear.
The lunch spot by the water was also a fantastic choice for the group. And of course, the guided tours at both castles were very informative.
Just a heads-up it’s a long drive, so I’d recommend taking a motion sickness pill. There are about two hours of bumpy roads due to construction, and it’s best to avoid sitting in the back seat 😅
