Excellent tour and experience

You should know that due to construction, the road to Cape Coast is just terrible and it takes about 4 hours to get there. Enoch and Hamza were excellent guides and told us about the road conditions ahead of time so we were prepared. Hamza did a great job driving and handling the bumpy road. Enoch and Hamza were very knowledgeable and gave us a great history of Ghana and pointed out areas of interest along the way. Be advised that the hike to the canopy at the park is very steep. Enoch and Hamza were very kind and patient and helped me make the climb. The tours at the castles were very informative and sobering. If you want to learn more about the slave trade and the inhumane treatment of Africans, then this is the tour for you. I highly recommend it. It's a long day so bring snacks.

Castles used in slave trade.

The castles was great. I have a much better understanding of the horrors of the slave trade. We didn’t make it to the canopy since we ran out of time due to traffic. Both guide and driver were great. The biggest negative is it is a long drive on mostly unpaved roads. Be prepared to be in the car 5 hours each way.

We did the Cape Coast Day...

We did the Cape Coast Day Tour with Boansi Travels. We had so much fun doing the Canopy Walk in Kakum National Park. Although the park provided a guide to the canopy, our Boansi guide, Enoch, knew the park well, so we were able to depart from the larger group when we wanted. Enoch did a great job of making sure we were comfortable during the canopy walk and helped us capture some great shots! The tours at both of the Elmina and Cape Coast castles also had site provided tour guides, but Enoch checked on us throughout both emotional experiences. Throughout our time with him, Enoch stopped to get us a couple local snacks from vendors— both were tasty! Thanks for a great trip!
