What To Expect

Greet your guide at your Acapulco hotel and head to the port to set sail over the sun-drenched seas. As you glide over the iridescent ocean to La Roqueta Island, enjoy the stunning scenery before stopping to explore the underwater wonderland. A nice boat, a good boat captain, a fun leader, just the right amount of distance, and we snorkeled in two spots, each with plenty of fish. The sandwich, apple and water were a bonus. I would definitely go again. Oh, and the pick-up driver was nice, and on-time. A wonderful few hours.

Enjoyed the day. The transportation was timely, clean and had good conversations. The snorkel trip is fun. Ended up being a solo trip with the guide so appreciated the one on one experience.

Snorkeling adventure

Excellent tour. We were the only two one the boat but that didn’t stop the captain from showing us a great time. We boated to the reef, about 30 minutes. We rode upfront. Nice slow ride as the captain showed us the sites. When we arrived at the reef, it was put on the flippers and mask and let’s get wet. The captain came with us. We had a recue throw ring that we heald onto as he manuvered us around. He went down and brought up a puffer fish and also showed us a star fish. Five stars! Excellent tour!

We loved our guide and the snorkeling was amazing. He took time to show us special creatures that he dove down for like starfish and sea urchins. I even got to swim with a school of fish. It was beautiful.

Nice excursion lots of things to see

We did this tour ourselves and there was one other couple on the tour. We met our driver inside the terminal shop building. He gave us a boxed lunch w drinks. Drove us to a dive shop. Gear included we had our own masks. We got fitted w fins and out to the site quickly. Our guide gave us some history and shared stories as he grew up there. He gave us a guided snorkel tour but you could go off on your own not as restricted as some tours. He should us starfish urchins and let us hold them even touched a baby puffer fish. Water was clear & warm. We saw a few dolphins on the ride back. Our guide was GREAT! The boat was not a catamaran or anything big or fancy lol I travel enough to be fine with that. Getting on and off the boat was a bit difficult we were all older folks w some mobility issues. Bad knee things like that. The tour guide was very helpful The ladder on this particular boat was really steep. Again he helped all of us. He even had the boat come in to an easier unloading dock at the end of the tour. Same van driver picked us up broughtbus right back to pier. Great snorkel!

Fun snorkeling tour

Our guide was awesome he showed us puffer fish star fish. There were needle fish and many more. It was a group tour some of the folks had a hard time but the whole crew helped them learn to snorkel

Lenny and Victor were amazing. I had never snorkeled in the rough waters of the pacific. I opted to stay on the boat and the first spot where I was given the opportunity to climb up top to relax. Second spot they urged me to go out and Lenny held my hand the entire time. Yea I’m a big baby!!! Well worth it.

The boat captain and tour guide did a great job. Snorkeling was good and as expected knowing the coastal water. Trip description was misleading. Says we would “sink our toes into the silken sands of the beach and purchase local specialties in authentic eateries upon the island.” A little disappointed cause We never touched the island! All in all snorkeling was fun and with transportation worth the price.

First - you MUST check in with this tour group within 24 hours. I did not and got bumped to the following day, so heads up. Other than that, this was amazing and I would go again. Fun boat they let us jump off the 2nd tier, tons of time in the water 2 stops and they found sea creatures like a sea turtle, etc. for us to look at. Oh, they speak English very well so it was easy to ask questions and understand what was happening. Bring sunscreen and a towel! I brought snacks but they had a banana, sandwich and Gatorade for us.

Excellent and attentive snorkeling guide who really made an effort to maximize our snorkeling experience, even diving down and collecting various sea creatures for us to check out. Afterwards, much to our surprise, our driver took us on a brief tour of old Acapulco. These people really went out of their way to show us a good time. One of the best snorkeling trips I've ever been on!

After MUCh confusion, the trip was good, but was NOT the trip described on your website. First of all we were told we would be met by someone from Royal Tours. We were outside our hotel early and never saw anyone from Royal Tours. We saw a nice man from Swiss Divers that had a van full of peoploe waiting to go on a dour and asked him if he knew of Royal Tours and he said no but he was waiting for a couple to go on his tour. After much checking the couple he was waiting for was us! So much for Royal Tours..then we were taken to an old hotel to board a boat taking us to snorkel. We were taken to a very nice spot in the middle of the bay, but not to any beach like the description on your website describes. Your website described this trip as going to the beach and purchase local specialties in authentic eateries upon the island. That never happened either. The boat took us to snorkel and they provided very basic ham and cheese sandwiches no choice. There was no beach in sight and no place to buy anything. Although we made the best our our snorkeling trip, I was extremely disappointed as I was looking forward to enjoying time on the beach and enjoying local foods. The guide from Swiss Divers was very nice, but this was not was we signed up to do. It was very confusing with the pickup and disappointing with the excursion although we did see nice fish, but no beach. We travel extensively and will hesitate before booking another Viator trip due to the misleading information we had from this one,.

The tour guides were great. I am only giving this 4 stars as the water was not very clear due to it being the end of the rainy season. So when we decided not to go into the water the second time they took us on a boat tour of the area. Very accommodating. They were so nice and their English skills were good which is very helpful and my travel companion (cousin) and I have very poor Spanish skills. I would go on this again.

We had a wonderful time on our snorkeling tour. The guy that went in to show us where all the neat fish were hiding was fabulous. The tour was with Siss Divers. We saw several huge sting rays, with approx. 4 ft. wing span. I was rather nervous after that. It was lots of fun. When we got back into the boat, several baby Rays began jumping out of the water, almost like they were playing with each other. Never saw anything like it, but we were told it happens frequently off Roqueta Island. Highly recommended.

The association that performs the tours were highly professional. We enjoyed the snorkeling so much the first time we booked a second tour for the next day as well. The only negative comment I had is that the boats were a little difficult to get into as they did not have ladders for getting out of the water only platforms.

For your safety, don't go with them.

The sea was calm and the waters clean and crystal clear. There was little marine life and no flora or coral reefs. The thing is, the attention is terrible. They sell you a snorkling tur but of the 7 people we were going, I was the only one doing snorkling; the others were doing SCUBA diving for beginners. The two guides who took us on the boat spent all the time underwater with the other clients. If I'd had an emergency, no one would have known for a while. I couldn’t even get back on the boat because, to top it off, I didn’t have a ladder to get on, which with the lifeline on, the mask and the snorkel, I found almost impossible to do. I really do not recommend them because of the lack of professionalism and security they offer. If you find another option, you better go to the other Enterprise for your own safety. I have snorkled many times in other parts of the world and I have never seen such a bad deal as this. For their safety, enjoyment and well-being, I do not recommend them. They're very irresponsible.

Muy buena organizacion y personal muy profesional y atento. Nos pasaron a recoger en el hotel a la hora indicada y nos llevaron a la isla de la Roqueta en una pequeña lancha junto con otros dos turistas. Nos proporcionaron el equipo necesario y hasta nos dieron un pequeño desayuno. La zona no tiene mucho que ver pero el trato y el ambiente fue estupendo.
