    Shabby, with long queues. Good guides and lovely views.

    Guides were nice, but this is a shabby tour. The quad biking is only 15 minutes (not 30 mins as advertised) and you have to queue for an hour to go around in a small circle. The queue for the BBQ was over an hour long and you sit on a cushion on the floor, unless you upgraded which we did (50AED/person), even then terrible food with lots of flies. You are then stuck for 4 hours in this shabby base camp with 600 other people, which was mainly a disco for kids. The camel ride, also had an hour queue for a 2 min ride (although we upgraded for 50 AED/person to avoid the queue and have a 5 min ride). Luckily our guides were kind enough to drive us home early with the other guests (who were also trying to escape). I am not even going to mention the toilets in the base camp as I am trying to mentally block them out!! On the plus side, guides were nice, the dune bashing was fun and some awesome views.

According to our guide and on-site team, your group was given priority access as a Viator guest, which meant reduced waiting times for quad biking, camel riding, and dinner compared to the general queue. This priority was arranged due to your booking channel and was not dependent on on-site upgrades. Based on our records, the waiting times were considerably shorter than described in the review. Our desert camp is designed as a traditional cultural experience, where floor seating, shared dining, live entertainment, and a lively atmosphere are part of the concept. During peak days, the camp can be busy and energetic, especially with families present. That said, we acknowledge your comments regarding comfort, food quality, cleanliness, and facilities, and these have been shared with camp management for review and improvement. Regarding activity durations, quad biking time is allocated per guest and managed for safety reasons. We regret if there was any misunderstanding between expectations and the experience delivered. We’re glad to know you enjoyed the dune bashing, desert views, and found our guides to be kind and helpful.
