What a fantastic experience. I have done the dune bashing several times before but my family was experiencing it for the first time. Our guides were outstanding and we could not have hoped for better individuals to have driven us (to include skilled driving during the dune bashing). Although the dune bashing was the highlight, the food, camel rides and entertainment at the camp were quite enjoyable. Our guides even provided us with mixed tea during our fuel stop on the way to the desert. We are grateful for the time our guides spent with us and their unique sense of humor. Well worth the money.

Great value

Very good value for money - more than covered by the drive alone. Good amount of time in the desert and really fun dune bashing on the way. Food was pretty good. They do try to get you to ‘upgrade’ once you’re there; some of the activities, like the camel ride (around a tiny perimeter), are abridged deliberately in order to convince you to pay for these ‘upgrades’.

While our driver/ guide did an amazing job and were very professional, unfortunately the overall experience was disappointing. We were really looking forward to an authentic and traditional cultural experience, but the camp fell far short of expectations. We left shortly after arriving due to the poor setup. The camel ride lasted only two minutes, which felt very tokenistic rather than immersive. Seating was limited unless we paid extra, which was especially difficult as I was traveling with my 71-year-old mother who cannot sit on the floor. Even basic amenities like water were insufficient — we were only given baby-sized bottles. It was a very underwhelming and uncomfortable experience, and not at all what was advertised. I’m really disappointed with the outcome of the tour. Our driver did his best for us. We appreciated him.

Outstanding Tour

We had a fantastic day in the desert ! Our driver Zaib picked us up on time and drove to the desert. He is extremely skilled in dune bashing navigating the 4x4 vehicle like a pro. We were squealing with excitement. He also offered to help us take photos. Then we went to the camp where more fun activities took place. Camel riding and Sandboarding are free. Buggy ride is chargeable but it was the highlight for us and worth the money. Dinner was buffet style and delicious ! We also enjoyed the belly dance and fire performance. Zaib & his team looked after us very well. This was the best experience we had in Abu Dhabi. Highly recommended for all travelers !

I did the solo desert...

I did the solo desert safari with Zaib and it couldn't have been better. Zaib and his friends were so friendly and I felt very well looked after. They picked me up from where I needed to be and also waited for me when I wanted to take some photos before the tour started. We did all the attractions and also gave me useful tips about the tourist camp itself. The food was great. Took lots of photos even though I was alone. 10/10 would recommend the tour to anyone.

Sand dashing was the ultimate highlight, Shahzaib knows his vehicle well and topped the expectations of what is even possible. At the camp there is sand boarding, camel riding and lots of other great activities. The food is delicious, great life entertainment and an overall experience of a kind. Shahzaib is a great driver, knowledgeable guid and is always trying to find ways to make this journey even better.
