The biggest thing I’ve learned over the years is that group tours through historic areas is a huge benefit to a trip. The next is that I will always go through Viator. Our guide was perfect. She had answers to all of our questions and was so fun to listen to. She even provided a number of stories about the families of the different empires (including how they died). Taking our strolls through the colosseum, Palatine Hill and the Roman Forum was so fun. I’m a history nerd so learning details of these sites was extremely fun! Our guide gave us enough information and time to wander on our own a bit for some spectacular photos.

Xenia the tour guide was great! Very knowledgeable. I was a little disappointed that 20 people is considered a “small” group, but it ended up being okay. We did have two older woman with mobility issues and that impacted the group. They should make a tour specifically for people that aren’t able to do a lot of steps. Despite all that, it was amazing and worth our time. There is SO much to see you could do this tour multiple times.

It’s primarily the colosseum. Very thorough and good tour of it. Great guide. I would recommend it. We did get an overview of Palestine Hill and it was nice to have someone guide us through getting in the hill area.
