This tour was great! The team were amazing and we loved seeing so many dolphins! I'd recommend wearing the waterproof jacket, as we did get wet with the spray. The tour guide gave us a lot of information about the dolphins we saw which our 10yo enjoyed.

Fun, educational and yummy
This tour had more stops than others that I’ve done, 6 in all. We had a great guide and there was a chef that went out in advance of us to each stop to prepare everything for us. Guide was knowledgeable about food, as well as other information about Ponta Delgada and the Azores. My favourite stop was at A Tasca. Comfie shoes are a great help on the stone road and walkways, but there isn’t too much walking in between each stop.

Very cool
There were two of us in a buggy, although on the same excursion there was a quad and another buggy driven by the guide. We had to cross a bit of countryside before entering the caldera area, sometimes by road and sometimes by trails. The excursion was very impressive, through and around the caldera and lakes of Sete Cidades, which is one of the island's biggest attractions, and thanks to the vehicles we accessed paths that, otherwise, you cannot reach by car. Several stops are made at strategic locations, including a final lookout point, Pedras Negras, toward the beach.

This was my favourite tour out of all the island tours we did! Our guide Jose Melo was exceptional; a great balance of information (history, interesting facts), sight seeing moreover actual time to explore these sights…unlike other tours where it is a pass by or you get 10-15 minutes. He was very accommodating, courteous, and really made every minute of the tour count. The lunch was delicious too! But all the sights we saw were stunning, and I am very glad I did this tour to cover the eastern part of the island. Thank you, Jose!

The Azores may only look like tiny specks on a globe, but this little archipelago brings a lot to the table—especially for travelers who love the great outdoors. Azores tours include 4WD excursions, canyoning and caving adventures for all skill levels, boat trips to look for whales and dolphins, visits to tea and pineapple plantations, and a chance to see the sparkling blue-green lakes that fill the craters of dormant Azores volcanoes.
