Learn to make homemade schnitzel and apple strudel the traditional way — using generations-old recipes passed down from a local family. Offering more than just a taste of Viennese cuisine, this small-group cooking class lets you live Vienna’s local culture for a few hours, by eating, cooking, and chatting with a host in their own home. My husband and I were traveling with our son and his college friend for Spring Break in Vienna. They requested a cooking class of classic Austrian cuisine. The young men had a fabulous lesson of preparing a whole delicious meal. We had fun making this lunch together and we treasure the authentic recipes we took away. The young men are looking forward to sharing these experiences and their new skills to impress friends and family.

I love to take cooking classes when I travel and Lena's class is one of the best I ever have. It was a small class, only 2 of us, and she made us feel right at home in her kitchen. I love that she gave us recipes that had been in her family for generations. I can't wait to try making schnitzel at home!

Very homey atmosphere with someone passionate about her family and heritage. An amazing meal was prepared and enjoyed.
We had a terrific time learning to cook Lena’s traditional Austrian favorites passed down for generations from her grandmother’s. Lena was an excellent hostess with easy directions and lots of hands on. The food was fantastic and we made several new friends around the family table. We feasted on schnitzel, soup, salad and strudel all made during our class. We would absolutely recommend this class!! Thank you Lena, and friends, for a wonderful time!
From the moment I walked in, Lena made me feel very comfortable and welcome. The time was well spent and her instruction complete. The food was delicious and I'd highly recommend. There was another couple and a family with 3 children ages approximately 9-13. Everyone enjoyed our time together and eating family style all the food we prepared. It was more than just schnitzel and strudel!

Very comfortable and lovely experience at the teacher’s home, she taught us some recipes that belong to her grandmother, and we had a little booklet to take away too!

This was very enjoyable experience. Loved being on an authentic Vienna apartment and being taught by a local.
We learned how to make traditional dishes from Vienna. The class was fun, entertaining and delicious. Book if you can!
Lena was an incredible cooking guide, checking in with everyone while simultaneously allowing us the freedom to actually be making the food ourselves. She was also very accommodating to any food restrictions or allergies. The food all turned out amazing, and I would definitely recommend this class to anyone visiting Vienna!

Please note this is inside someone’s apartment - it was very nice and worked well but just think it is important to know that! The guide was very informative and the class was interesting. Nothing we made was terribly hard and there were so many people on my day that it went by very fast, e each only did one thing instead of all doing all things. I would recommend overall
I had not cooked in awhile. Nina made us so comfortable. She was organized and walked us through each dish. After we completed the cooking we all sat down to eat. The family recipes were delicious. I highly recommend this class.
We didn’t know this was in someone’s apartment. Once we got passed that, it was a great experience and authentic, really enjoyed it with my wife.
The atmosphere was intimate and charming. We were truly treated like family. Leah was welcoming and provided excellent instruction and the experience was very interactive and organized. The instruction was clear and the results were fantastic and delicious. I feel that I am capable of recreating these recipes. She certainly inspired confidence!
