We loved the Vienna Classical Concert at St. Peter’s Church. The setting was stunning and created such a beautiful atmosphere, and the acoustics really enhanced the music. The musicians were excellent, and the program of Mozart, Vivaldi, and Beethoven pieces was performed with real skill and emotion. A memorable and highly enjoyable evening in Vienna—well worth it.

On the day of the performance, head to the box office at St. Peter’s Church to swap your booking confirmation for your concert ticket.

Then, dressed in smart-casual clothes to fit the occasion, head to the church itself in time for the start of the concert. From your prebooked seat (a wooden pew) in the church vaults, sit back and relax as you’re entertained by classical music composed by the likes of Beethoven, Schubert, Mozart, Vivaldi, and Bach.

After roughly an hour of music played by the Classic Ensemble Vienna, make your way out of the venue to finish the experience.

Fine performance, beautiful venue, but hot, hot, hot

The concert was wonderful, and the musicians were outstanding. No complaints with any of that. Unfortunately, the church was so hot inside that I almost had to leave early. This is no one’s fault, of course, but I do wish that there had at least been a few fans to move the air around or something. I was very impressed that the performers powered through it all looking always very professional.

We heard about this concert from fellow travelers and got tickets through Viator while eating lunch. The church is gorgeous and the music amazing. Great last minute decision. Highly recommend.

I haven’t been in a classical concert before and this experience did not disappoint. The fee was worth it every euro, the pieces were amazingly played and I would definitely repeat if I come back to Vienna. Additionally, the scene was compared to none.

We spent a very pleasant evening at St. Peter’s church listening to some very talented musicians. The beautiful old church venue seemed a perfect fit for the music. I wonder if the seating could be made a bit more comfortable, but maybe that is the price to be paid for the surroundings of a 300 year old church.

The church was incredible…and made for a wonderful venue for the concert. It was smaller than you would think but made for a truly intimate evening. We sat in the middle/center of the church but had a great view and overall fantastic experience!

WOW!!! Just, WOW!!! I didn't think I liked classical music ...until I attended this concert! :-) So impressed with the song choices and the performance, it brought me to tears. Incredibly talented musicians. Absolutely beautiful building. It was a small and intimate performance and the acoustics in that room were perfect. We were lucky enough to sit in the front row and I would highly recommend it. We sat in the chairs, because I read the pews were very uncomfortable. The chairs weren't great either but I was so mesmerized by the music that it didn't bother me too much.

The building was too hot with only 2 small fans, no toilet facilities available and seating extremely uncomfortable, we expected a large orchestra but instead we had 4 musicians, with very much the same music, we stayed around 30 mins and left as it was so uncomfortable and hot! Wouldn’t recommend during the summer! This should be pointed out to people booking! I did request a partial refund but was denied by the operators!

What a beautiful setting, with skilled musicians playing exquisite music. If you are able to, booking seats at the front is worth it - BUT you want sit in actual chairs -not the pews which are so uncomfortable that after 10 minutes you are wriggling to try to find a comfortable position which never arrives and leaves you hoping for to concert to end early. I managed to move seats between brackets but would have found it torture if I had been unable to do so. I am 6ft 4 inches (193-194 cms) but even my 5ft 8” wife also found the pews uncomfortable. When you looked around you saw a number of people wriggling. (Made me think that Austrian Catholics musst be hardy people, but at the same time if they want to encourage the current generation to return to church the seats are a great place to start!). Thoroughly enjoyed the music. Can’t say the same about the pews.

We had an absolutely wonderful evening at the Classic Ensemble Vienna concert. The musicians were exceptionally talented, and every piece was performed with remarkable precision, passion, and elegance. The program featured a beautiful selection of masterpieces by Mozart, Vivaldi, Schubert, Bach, Borodin, and Dvořák, making for a truly memorable experience. The intimate atmosphere allowed us to fully appreciate the artistry and emotion of the performance. If you’re visiting Vienna and want to experience world-class classical music in an authentic setting, this concert is an absolute must. Highly recommende.

This was an incredible experience in a stunning backdrop. The musicians were incredible and it was very enjoyable. Definitely recommend sitting in the standalone chairs versus the pews when you arrive - the pews get quite uncomfortable to sit in. And you may want to bring a mini portable fan, no AC and gets quite hot on a July summer day.

Great evening listening to a string quartet in St Peter’s Church

Wonderful experience to listen to a string quartet in an intimate setting in a Baroque church in the city center of Vienna. We ordered the expensive tickets so we could sit closer to the musicians. We arrive at St Peter’s about 45 minutes before the performance, and we were able to choose front row pew seats. There were three rows of individual chairs in front of us, but we had a great view of the musicians since the pews were higher up than the chairs. The pews were not comfortable but the view was superb. The setting was wonderful, hearing a concert in a church. Great experience!

We all thought lit would have been nice if the performers would have announced the title and composer of each piece, despite the program. We realize the language disparity would preclude further interaction with the audience The performers were absolutely incredible and we we really enjoyed their amazing talent. It was a lovely evening.
