No help for customers

I reached out a couple hours before to tour operator and had no response. At 4p when tour was supposed to start I got a call that it was cancelled. At that point I could not buy a ticket on my own, they were sold out. I waited in a heat index of over 100 degrees for this tour. I had to leave Milan without seeing the Duomo. I was notified later by an email from Viator that it was cancelled. But despite assurances from the tour operator and Viator I have still not received a refund. Viator has no standards, no authority and no interest in you as a traveler. They allow any tour operator to behave in any way they like and as a traveler you have no protection and no help from them. They are just there to collect the money up front. This is the second time in a month I have had a major issue with one of their tours. I will look for alternatives in the future.

You have book the tour with one hour before the stsrting game.The tour was canceled for hy temperature reason and you also recive a full refund.

Poor communications

It took us 40 minutes and 3 phone calls to find our tour guide. The original meeting point instructions were all wrong. Viator is very poor at communicating. Viator will use 5 different communication channels. They send texts via SMS, emails, phone calls, messages through the Viator app, and messages through WhatsApp. The information from one channel is totally different from another. This shouldn't be this difficult. We went from one meeting point to another. This has happened multiple times with Viator, they need to get it together. They eventually sent me the correct information via WhatsApp, but I had no way of knowing this. I would not recommend using Viator. Go directly to a local tour company. Save money, time and hassle.

We reached The Duomo to find out that there was no tour guide available, waited for an other 30 min so the operator will find a tour guide. Instead, we got audio guide:-(( We booked for 4pm so the sun won’t be that strong as we had a 75 year old mother. We also bought fast track for Duomo and for rooftop, but we were still standing in the queue for more then 30 min. None of these places have separated fast lines for old people, handicaps….a big shame! In one word: don’t book this trip trough this provider. We got so many unpleasant “gifts” for my Mother’s Birthday. .

I apologize for all the inconvenience! But I've send send you several messages to come with 15 minutes before the booking time,so you was supposed to come at 15:45.You have arive at 16:10 and told me you have a problem with the Taxi.In the main time my group and my tour guide was already inside of the Cathedral.Less then cancel your visit I have provide you audio guide in twoo diferent linguage(English and Russian).For the old lady I've give to you acces buy elevator even if you have paid for stairs.You didn't wait in the regular line,you was in the group line and you have wait only ten minutes because they're was another group in front of you.On that time the regular line was around 1h and 30min.In our description we never say fast track,we say priority Group entrance.Apologize again and we try to improve our service in the future.FlipFlopAdventures team.
