Itinerary
Your walking tour begins in central Florence, where you join up with your guide to explore some of the world’s greatest architectural and artistic masterpieces. Your guide discusses in detail how Florence became the ‘cradle of the Renaissance’ as you walk. Learn about the patronage of the Medici family, Leonardo da Vinci’s plans for the city, and scandalous events in Florentine history.
Travel through Piazza della Repubblica, and continue to the site of the Baptistery, Giotto’s Bell Tower, and the iconic Duomo, featuring Brunelleschi's Dome.
See the magnificent churches of San Lorenzo, Santo Spirito, and St. Trinity, before following your guide to the Arno River for views of the Ponte Vecchio.
Head to Piazza della Signoria, a popular hub of activity that hosts the Palazzo Vecchio, an open-air sculpture display and shops and cafes.

Our group was small, which was great for a relaxing evening. We had one wine stop, one olive oil stop, and then walked around town with our guide to some of the top areas. We learned about some history and enjoyed everyone company. We didn’t need headsets since it was only 4 of us and the guide, which was great!
The wine was delicious, we had some photo stops, and a one of a kind olive oil tasting which we would not have thought to do otherwise.

The tour was enjoyable and the pace was good. However, the tour title gives you the impression that you would stop at more than just one wine window. We expected a couple of wine window visits. Samples would have been fine. Unfortunately, We spent half our tour getting an overview of olive oil production and sampling olive oil.

We would like to kindly point out that the olive oil tasting lasted longer than originally planned due to the unusually large size of the group. In fact, this was the first time we have hosted a group of this size for this experience, and the extended timing was an unforeseen consequence of ensuring that all participants could fully enjoy the tasting.
Under normal circumstances, the itinerary includes an olive oil tasting stop of approximately 20 minutes. Throughout the walking tour, guests also have the opportunity to discover several of Florence's historic wine windows (buchette del vino), which are featured along the route and explained by the guide.
We appreciate your understanding and hope this helps clarify the circumstances of the day.

Bad instructions for meeting up - bad customer service. I would not use this company again. No way to reach a live person. Tour guide was a no show.

Our tour departed normally, but you did not show up at the correct meeting point. Moreover, you reached out only at 10:20, well past the correct start time, so we could not help you at that point. I don't know which number exactly you were calling, starting with a 7- , however that's not Towns of Italy's phone number. If you look at your confirmation, you can see our phone number, starting with +39.
The directions you received were correct and, since you did not reach out, we could not help you.

Easy pace but covered lots of interest. Marathon caused some tricky road crosses but not too much of a hassle. Learned history (both general and a few less known parts) and got orientation to the Downtown to wander later. Early start was refreshing and avoided bigger crowds later in day. The gelato stop a pleasant and timely moment.

Really enjoyed Federica’s tour. She was very engaging and knowledgeable. Our only regret was doing the tour later in our stay. If we had done it upfront, it would have given us a bunch of great ideas of what to tour for the rest of our stay. Thank you Federica!

Whilst the guide showed she could have bought een good, the level of detail was suitable for those who know little about history or Italy.we booked this as a Medici tour - asking who knows “what the capital of Italy “indicates the level expected. I don’t blame the guide - I think she know much more .I would have loved a better view of the Medicis.
The guide is to be commended for the route she chose which left out some of the most over touristed areas of the city .

The tour guide was very nice. Unfortunately the audio quality was hard to hear ( the street noises and construction didn't help) If you have some knowledge of the Medici family or have ever seen the Netflix series Medici, this is a really neat way to bring it all together.

Great guide, Francesca, who knew her art history and made the walk informative in a very nice way. We were not rushed, and at each stop she gave plenty of time to answer any questions and some tips about Florence along the way. This was the 1st of 4 tours we did in Florence and received the lowest review. The tour was ok, but I struggled with the language translation and as soon as I had understood what was said, the next piece of information was being spoken, so I was always trying to catch up. The tour guide really tried to be helpful, but I would probably not go on the tour again.
